9. Happy Go Lucky

 

 

I remember this from my younger years. A guilty pleasure bop I have to say! Very Step One Steps as well actually which is only a good thing in my view.

Oh, I quite enjoy Happy go lucky! The lyrics are a bit simple at moments but the retro Ace of base vibe really sells it for me. Indeed, a guilty pleasure! Nice to hear a bit of Faye as well on this one.

I’m not big on the Steps ballads really but I will say this isn’t the worst song on the album yet. That H track from earlier was -

11. Here and Now

 

 

I really really really like Here and Now and I’m so glad it was included on the latest tour. A total surprise to be part of the encore as well! A nice mix of the whole band as well!

The same goes for Buzz. Love the retro Ace of base sound on this one. And..I love when the song starts and Faye begins with ‘I see the way you act, like you’re nonchalant’! Only for that the song gets a nice score :heart: And I like the fact the vocals are a bit more divided.

 

So, a 8.5/10 for me!

This is so Ace of Base and honestly that’s such a compliment! I love it and so glad it got an outing on the POTD tour!

Here and now is another track that I enjoy! Lovely lyrics and vibe. The video is not bad either. Though not their biggest hit, I think this song (and the overal vibe of Buzz) was needed for them not to get stuck into their Abba sound.

 

8.5/10!

Paradise lost..the single that never was! Such a shame..could’ve been a nice (European) hit!

The fact I can hear Lee so clearly is a YES from me. Im not sure I’ve told this forum before but he is DELICIOUS. Even his voice melts me. Trouble & Love tho. *chef kiss*

Agreed - much needed progression but a good progression!

Turn around is a nice album track! And yes, finally some Lee! All I can say that it’s a shame they barely featured him more. He’s maybe not the best singer but can definitely hold a note. And he sings not as ‘dramatic’ as H.

Yes! The change of sound was needed imo. Loved their Abba sound but it’s good they tried some new things on Buzz. A more ‘mature’ vibe that shows some diversity.
