Stomp was a big surprise no.1 though tbh. How did Buzz do?

So the Summer of Love HD video is simply an AI software upscale - unfortunately the source file for this video mustn't have been particularly good in the first place - perhaps taken from a VHS tape? The upscale really struggled in parts of this. The dance routines are blurry and become pixellated, people in the background lack detail, while some up close shots are unnaturally smooth and artificial looking.

 

We've been really spoiled by excellent quality for the previous videos, particularly Stomp and One for Sorrow, so relatively this one is disappointing. I appreciate that they must have done the best that they could with Summer of Love, and it's an improvement on what was uploaded years ago... but yeah. It is what it is.

Ageee with you Jay. We’ve been spoiled with some of these so I guess a drop at some point is understandable.

I really miss when a promotional schedule for a pop group would involve performances on numerous TV shows. Even on Watchdog :lol: -

There really were a lot of options for promo back in the day wasn’t there.

There was so many and its the opposite today, tge industry has changed in so many ways.

It's sad but I guess a sign of the times. I can remember always being excited to see who was going to be on our shows here in Australia on the Saturday or Sunday night. Off topic slightly but I still remember the show Billie Piper was on in maybe 1999 performing Honey To The Bee, and the audio was off at the start so she had to re-start it.

It is what it is, the costumes became iconic but it's still just a live tour clip. Nice for the people in the crowd to see their younger selves in higher quality.

 

Funny really to recall how a Steps concert used to be full of kids and teenagers, as nowadays you see so few of them there.
