Minor regeneration spoiler, on how it takes place:

For the first time, it will take place outside the Tardis!

The 3rd, 4th, 5th, 8th and War Doctor would like to say 'Hi'

I assume he meant first time in the new series! (obviously still the War Doctor though easily forgotten as it occurred in a mini-episode)

Yep, just Modern Who’s main Doctors of course! I just mentioned what the Instagram post I saw said

Another male actor has been thrown in the mix Martin Freeman, on the back of the new BBC1 TV series transmitting Monday nights "The Responder" now that's a good call. Please make this happen :cheer:

A couple of months ago. when a friend and I did our shortlist of actors we'd like in the role, we both put Freeman down. He might be a little bland for The Doctor though, was my concern

RUMOUR HAS IT!!!

That the two best doctors, Ecclesistein and Smith, are returning for the special!! They will be joined by cheesy, overrated Tenant, and by the GLORIOUS River Sang! Whittaker is not invited, for being so shite. They worry she would pull the whole thing down. They are moving on and never mentioning her or her Tardis team or storylines ever again.

Also poor Neighbours:( Hopefully Doc Who doesn't go the same way, but it is touch and fo doe it after Chibnat!!!

The tabloids are reporting now that Hugh Grant is in talks to star as The Doctor! With RTD hoping to develop a “Marvel-style multiverse” for the show.

He seems too big to be considered really, but I’d love to see it happen!

Hugh Grant has also said in the past that he regrets turning the role down before
In the same article, The Mirror also reconfirm that Tennant will play the Doctor in 3 specials first - and be joined by Matt Smith & Peter Capaldi for the 60th anniversary episode.
Isn't it already like a 'multi-verse'? The Doctor is a timetraveller lmao. I just want RTD to bring back some of the characters from the first 4 series; a bit of a catch up would be nice.
We want Torchwood and nothing else.

I think that's very unlikely given how the BBC have dropped John Barrowman from all his upcoming Doctor Who-related things recently (Big Finish & the live immersive experience in London).

Though of course, I'd love to see it without him.
