Yeah, I was surprised by that too but it's because that's the one that's in his top five on Spotify. The album version is 12 minutes long so it's not very streaming-friendly. There is a 5 and a half minute radio edit but you have to search for that.

 

Late but I was guessing earlier this is a case of the radio edit and this live version having their streams combined and just checked to confirm that (both versions show as having the same total play count if you go to their respective albums). A little strange that the live version is the one that is appearing in the chart, I would assume the large majority of the actual streams are just for the radio edit studio version.

 

(although actually it is the studio version that appears on Spotify itself, it's only tagged as the live version on the website version of the chart! so perhaps that'll be fixed tomorrow)

It would help if they'd tried to write anything as commercially orientated since Day and Age

I think it's easier if you accept that Mr brightside is never go away :) youre gonna get an ulcer if you get upset everytime it climbs the charts, which happens like everyday :D
