Eighth seed Karolina Pliskova suffered a shock exit in the second round of the French Open, losing to world number 227 Leolia Jeanjean of France.

Jeanjean, 26, is competing as a wildcard at Roland Garros but saw off her Czech opponent 6-2 6-2.

^to no one's surprise, she's won like 2 games this year and never ever made a QF.

So many of the women already out, Kontaveit, Sakkari, Emma, Muguruza, Pliskova

Dan Evans says he has been dealing with a chest infection for the past week after struggling physically in his French Open second-round exit.

Evans, seeded 29th, was beaten 6-3 3-6 6-2 6-3 by Sweden's world number 95 Mikael Ymer on the Paris clay.

Evans trailed 5-1 on the way to losing the first set and, after improving in the second, faded in the final two.

"I've had normal symptoms, sweating a lot in the night, bad sleep. I tried my hardest but it's how it goes," he said.

Former champion Simona Halep suffered a mid-match panic attack as the Romanian lost her second-round match at the French Open.

The 30-year-old appeared to have difficulties with her breathing and called on the trainer during her 2-6 6-2 6-1 loss to China's Zheng Qinwen.

The All England Lawn Tennis Club has decided to change Wimbledon’s honour roll for the Championships next month, removing titles before the names of its female champions in line with the tournament’s presentation of its male winners.

Bencic and Kerber out in the third round, they were my next picks for the other finalist once Jabeur and Sakkari both went out.

Would be nice to see Azarenka reach her first French Open final after so many appearances but it'll probably be someone random instead.

In lower part of the draw there are no big favourites left, will be Anisimova or Gauff maybe in the final

Yes, no one in the top 16 is left on that side of the draw!

I'm going to predict Anisimova as she has a 13/3 win/loss record for the clay court season.

I think Swiatek is the only t10 left now, Sabalenka lost yesterday, 6-4, 6-1,6-0, crazy! Also Badosa, but she was injured and retired.

Sabalenka taking the first set and then only winning one more game, typical

Hopefully whoever does make the final manages to still make it an entertaining match. Thought Kovinic put up a good fight yesterday.

I've never seen Camila play as well on a clay court as she did yesterday against Sabalenka. I hope she can at least make the semi-finals now.

The QF will be the 10th meeting between Djokovic and Nadal at the FO alone. Rafa leads 7-2 at RG but Djokovic is in front 30-28 in the overall h2h.
Djokovic seems to be on better physical shape, cannot see Rafa winning this
Cilic just absolutely dominated over Medvedev. That's Tsitsipas and Medvedev both gone from the bottom half of the men's draw today.
