WBO welterweight champion Terence Crawford has filed a lawsuit against his former promoter Top Rank, alleging that "revolting racial bias" on the part of chief executive Bob Arum damaged his career.

Crawford, 34, left Top Rank in November 2021 after his contract expired, having first signed with the promoter in 2011.

His suit, which seeks over £3.9m ($5.4m) in damages, was described as "frivolous" by Arum, 90, who has worked with the likes of Muhammad Ali, George Foreman and Tyson Fury in his career.

Certainly an interesting case, both sides seem to have put across reasonable points - I guess it's one of those situations in which we'll never fully know the ins and outs of it without having been involved ourselves.

Anthony Joshua says he has not signed a £15m contract to step aside from his rematch with Oleksandr Usyk so the Ukrainian can fight Tyson Fury in an undisputed heavyweight bout.

Fury's promoters Bob Arum and Frank Warren have been pushing for Dillian Whyte to agree terms while also speaking to Joshua's team.

But Joshua, who lost to Usyk on points in September, took to social media to say he is yet to see a contract about such an arrangement and added: "I'm the man who handles my business".

Boxing is a very interesting sport in the way 'matches' are decided - I can't imagine any other sport where anything similar the above news article would be being discussed! £15 million is a lot of money to pay someone to essentially not do their job.

Amir Khan did say he wanted one more fight after this and he could maybe do it but not leave it too long and he shouldn't bite off more than he can chew either.

Amir Khan has admitted his loss to Kell Brook could well be his last fight, saying he fears taking more "harmful punishment" and wants to spend more time with his family.

Khan was sensationally stopped by Brook in the sixth round to settle one of British boxing's most bitter rivalries.

Speaking after the fight at Manchester Arena, 35-year-old Khan said he had "been in the game a very long time".

"I've done more than I ever expected," he said.

"Maybe I peaked too early. I was at the Olympics at 17, I won the world title at 22. I'm 35 now - I've been in the game a very long time.

"I'm an old man. I want to spend time with my kids and my family."

Dillian Whyte has signed a contract to fight WBC heavyweight champion Tyson Fury just hours before the deadline.

Whyte, 33, had until 06:00 GMT on Tuesday to sign but had spent the weekend and Monday negotiating details of the deal.

Fury has taken to social media to react to Whyte signing on for a fight that is expected to take place on 23 April, potentially at Wembley Stadium

I mean it's fair enough if he does - he's had a fantastic career and one loss isn't going to mar that. He certainly deserves some time with his family!

Scotland's Josh Taylor clung on to his status as undisputed light-welterweight world champion with a controversial split-decision victory against Jack Catterall in Glasgow.

The English challenger looked to have claimed a stunning upset in Taylor's first defence of his WBA, WBC, IBF and WBO belts.

But two judges scored in favour of the Scot, who was floored in the eighth round, as they delivered a verdict met with widespread disbelief and described as "disgusting" by the Catterall camp.

Olympic champion Galal Yafai will make his professional debut at London's O2 Arena on Sunday - but the Birmingham boxer has already made a huge statement in the flyweight division.

While most debutants transition into the professional ranks with a four-round bout, Yafai will be fighting a 10-rounder against Carlos Bautista for the WBC International title.

World champion Josh Taylor says Saturday's controversial split decision win over Jack Catterall will likely be his last bout at light-welterweight.

The Scot held on to his WBA, WBC, IBF and WBO belts at a raucous OVO Hydro in Glasgow, despite most observers believing England's Catterall had claimed a stunning upset.

Josh Taylor says "personal attacks" on him and his family are "disgusting and uncalled for" after the British Boxing Board of Control revealed a probe into his win over Jack Catterall.

The Scot, 31, retained his WBA, WBC, IBF and WBO light-welterweight belts against the 28-year-old Englishman.

But BBBoC general secretary Robert Smith was "very surprised" at the scoring from judge Ian John-Lewis.
