It's a close fought finale as all three Kiwi queens have the same wins and bottoms, and Etcetera has either been high or bottom and has put up a fight! The final 4 must battle it out in a Rumix to I'm A Winner Baby, before Ricki, Josh and Courtney decide who will win.

 

Elektra and Anita are the best of the Rumix, with Elektra serving choreo for days and Anita injecting personality into the song. Etcetera and Kita do solidly. After the runway, the judges announce that only the top 2 will get to lipsync for the crown.... and it's Elektra vs Anita!

 

The two face off to Spinning Around by Kylie Minogue, guaranteeing a Kiwi winner. Elektra performs for her LIFE whilst Anita is campy and entertaining, ensuring a close fought battle for the crown that is nail bitingly close and could go either way, but in the end the first Down Under superstar is... ELEKTRA SHOCK!!

As an explanation why I chose the way I did, I just think it would such a satisfying narrative arc for Elektra to win:

 

- Starting as an underdog, most of them didn't know who she was and she was undeniably in the bottom for the design challenge.

 

- Winning over Anita and Kita who judged her on House Of Drag and arguably robbed her of a win then.

 

- Proving herself as being good at pretty much everything, including a win in design to redeem her week 1 bottom placement.

 

 

Kita was a decent winner and I adore her, but it felt like she won by default because they couldn't crown Karen after doing so badly, Scarlet was a racist and Art had no wins.
