I haven't caught it on Radio 1 yet. As it's 5 mins long I assume it's been edited, do they keep much of the electronic breakdown in?

Oh hai new album release week that has crept up on me very quietly. It's taken me a couple of days to finally be able to sit down and listen to this and I wanted to give it a full run through without distraction.

We're four albums in and the group have definitely nailed their sound and how they want to come across meaning this presents itself as a solid piece of work.

You And I is the focus track this week which is a good choice. Sian Eleri also gave the title track a spin on her Radio 1 show earlier this evening which sounded lovely; she's really been the driving force behind any radio exposure for them this era.

Most of the album tracks are strong so it makes me really struggle to understand why Fakest Bitch was ever chosen as a single

I am scared to see how this does chart-wise, #2 is their lowest peak and I'm feeling like this won't even make #2. Eminem has his physicals which will completely pull them down along with strong competition from Snow Patrol, perhaps Lady Blackbird too. Tomorrow will be an interesting chart update, maybe the long pre-order could play in their favour.

After my first listen:

House - 9/10

Fakest Bitch - 4/10 (I still just cannot get into it whatsoever and I'm kind of glad it appears early on to get it out of the way, though it is a bit of a whiplash coming down from House)

You And I - 8/10

LA - 8/10 (this feels like a sister to the likes of Strong and Oh Woman Oh Man, sounds really good. That instrumental around the 3 min mark is amazing *.*)

Ordinary Life - 7/10

Santa Fe - 6/10 (middle of the road for me but some very interesting production brings it that little bit higher)

Kind Of Man - 9/10

Rescue - 9/10 (The best of the album tracks for me. George FitzGerald just feels like an honorary member of the band now so I love that he's had a hand in this. It almost reminds me of some of the production work on Bicep's Isles album)

Into Gold - 10/10 (Flawless.)

The Greatest Love - 7/10 (The orchestra bit in the middle is stunning)

Finally heard it and whilst I guess it's hard to get a good radio edit of a song that's almost 6 minutes long, gah at most of the instrumental being removed.

(+)Surprised R1 is still supporting then tbh
I think 'House' fits perfectly on the R1 playlist!

I really like Fakest Bitch - the title is awful and jarring, but the melody and production of the song and Hannah's vocals on it are all beautiful to me.

Will check this album today.

It's a good album on first listen, I'm enjoying it more than the previous album.

Rescue is great, my favourite album track (kind of a Kylie vibe to the 'la la la' section). But I've found all of the singles varying shades of solid.

There's a digital version out now with a couple of other songs and the House demo. Hopefully these songs will come to streaming.

After being at #2 all week, they've been pipped by Sabrina Carpenter so this has entered at #3.
Oh gosh, absolutely living for the album. Yes, it's not progressive or something but so pleasant, and the vocals are amazing. My standouts are so far are Santa Fe, Into Gold (wow) and Fakest Bitch.

Almost tumbles out of the album chart at #99 today (eep). With the deluxe now available more widely on digital platforms I wonder if it'll rebound if only slightly
