That was a close one by Viñales. But glad he gets a b2b podium! Great race from Espargaro, knowing that he isn't 100% fit after yesterday's crash. Not sure what happened to Quartararo, I thought he would still win the race despite the long lap penalty.

An update from Gino Rea's family said that he is still under sedation.

MotoGP is planning to hold a sprint race every raceweeks next year WITHOUT riders' agreement. 😳

Great win by Sasaki at Moto3 after having a double long lap penalty.

 

I think the new 2a-2b chicane at Spielberg would work well on any motorcycle racing. That Morbidelli-Zarco accident which almost hit Rossi & Viñales 2 years ago was still terrifying until now.

Quite a drama happened from both Honda Team Asia Moto2 riders, as Chantra ignored his "P2 OK" pit board. Ogura, however, still won the race.

 

Good to see Dixon finishing third 3 race-in-a-row. He needs to be invested for the main class. He could pull out new British fans in the future if he wins a lot in the main class!

Solid win by Bagnaia, kinda disappointed Martin crashed in the last lap. Quartararo overtaking Miller on the new chicane was spectacular and not to mention that the remaining top 5 finishers were from Ducati. He's showing what he's capable of as a defending world champion.

The TV direction was completely bizarre this weekend. They didn't any of the crashes at all apart from Mir's. And I thought F1's was sketchy!

 

Fabio just shows what a champ he is, always picking up the maximum result possible.

That's 4-in-a-row win for Bagnaia! Wonder why he is late again to contest the world championship title this year. :o Props to Viñales for almost overtaking Bagnaia several times!

Northern Ireland's Jonathan Rea was penalised for a crash with title rival Alvaro Bautista in the second feature World Superbike race at Magny-Cours.

 

Rea was handed a long-lap penalty for the incident on the second lap after his Kawasaki clipped Ducati's Bautista, who crashed out after the contact.

 

The Northern Irishman recovered to finish in fifth position.

 

Toprak Razgatlioglu won his second race of the day after the Yamaha rider took victory in the earlier Superpole race.

 

The crash between Rea and Bautista took place on the second lap when the pair collided heading into a heavy braking zone at the French circuit.

 

Rea was deemed at fault for the incident and dropped for sixth after serving his penalty but he overtook BMW's Scott Redding in the closing stages to salvage fifth.

 

Razgatlioglu won ahead of Ducati's Michael Ruben Rinaldi to cut Bautista' champion lead to 30 points, with Rea 47 down on the Spaniard with five rounds remaining.

Great overtake from Bastianini at the last lap. Bagnaia is now 10 points behind Quartararo, while Espargaro is only 17. All because of Quartararo's accident with Marquez. He was just having a comeback, and this drama happened. 😳
