It's 3 weeks on top for ABBA's When You Danced With Me, and Neiked, Mae Muller & Polo G rocket up to 9 in an otherwise quiet-ish top 10. In an about-turn Elton & Ed's Xmas song hits a new peak inside the top 20. Think of it as a year early rather than a month late, as christmas and new years 2021 was cancelled for me, it just didn't exist. New at 18, George Cosby with the Johnny Hates Jazz-ish We Stand Alone. No idea who he is, he seems brand new to the music industry but is getting Radio 2 plays.

Adele goes top 30, and there are 3 re-entries for the late Meat Loaf, You Took The Words Out Of My Mouth the highest as it returns at 44 44 years on, mostly because it under-performed in my charts at the time and sounded great in the Bat Out Of Hell musical I saw a few years back as a surprise birthday present. Bat Out Of Hell also pops back for at least the 3rd time, and Cher's guest spot with Meat on Deadringer For Love ditto.

Justin Bieber's Ghost finally impacts on me at 60, LEON's Wishful Thinking is new, Tove Styrke's Show Me Love joins Tove Lo's credit with Duran Duran in the chart, and it's her first solo entry since her debut in 2015. Bonobo, big on albums this week, debuts at 71 with Shadows, and that concludes the new stuff!

Nice appearances for Meatloaf of course and I checked out some of semi 1 last week and your entry sounded decent enough. Corinne looking a lot older though but I guess she hasn't been in the music scene much in the last 10 years so to be expected I guess and amazed she's over 40 considering she looked about 19 in 'Put Your Records On' video to me lol.

Just noticed Lindisfarne lower down too. 'Run For Home' is a good oldie that I frst came across 10 years ago. Weirdly enough there is a street sign down the road from us that I think is called the same as the bands name or very similar lol. Freaky that!

Edited by Roba.

Hi John!

Nice to see "Better Days" reaching the top 10, the big gains for "Oh My God" and "Won't Stand Down" and the debuts for "Ghost" and of course the Meat Loaf songs.

Great chart!

Hi John,

When You Danced With me still on top :cheer:

Less Than Zero holds up in the Top 10

Neiked is nice. Dissapeared from the Dutch/Power Top 40 a few weeks ago!

Wow! Merry Christmas climbing again :P

Tame Impala, Adele and Alesso/Katy Perry all Top 30

Nice to see MeatLoaf (RIP) in the chart.

Best new entry bubbling under: Justin Bieber :w00t:

Hi Rob, thanks and yes Corinne looking fine for 40 I think wrong semi syndrome for Miles though, too many Indie & dance fans who aren't generally into tuneful pop

Lindisfarne Avenue or whatever - I'm guessing it's on a housing estate where roads are named after islands  Round here, the one I'm on is named after flowers, and the round the corner they are all birds. I'd love to get to name roads - they would def all be named after pop stars

cheers! B-)

Hi AH! :)

Glad you liked Miles & Corinne, I was in the wrong semi, not many lovers of tuneful pop in the draw, I thought you might like it though :cheer: I was happy to see Animotion through! :yahoo: and it came as a shock to me that it never made my charts! I could have sworn it did! That error has now been corrected!

Ed & Elton are climbing because I didn't get to hear it over christmas (or any music) so I was about 3 weeks behind on it, and its sounding great in my car when I pop to Tesco  I didn;t want to wait till next xmas in case I'm bored with it then... :) I just took a fancy to Leon and Tove Styrke on one hearing so I bought them, usually I'd get them from your charts but just happened to notice they were out

cheers! B-)
