Posted March 5, 20223 yr Album released yesterday and getting rave reviews mWdIFrDUWOs sounds so much like OK Computer to me :) an 8.4 review in Pitchfork: https://pitchfork.com/reviews/albums/nilufer-yanya-painless/
March 8, 20223 yr I haven't heard it in full yet but I love both “midnight sun” and “stabilise” which strongly remind me of like mid 00s TV on the Radio or Radiohead. Maybe that's because both bands have Radio in the name or it could be the epic frantic drums and guitars in both tracks. When that wall of scuzzy guitars come in towards the end of “midnight sun” <3
April 1, 20223 yr 'midnight sun' has been a slow burner for me, I did like it on first listen but has grown into a pretty big fave for me now  loving the grunge vibes. Have just listened to the rest of the album - from the album tracks I am most enjoying 'belong with you', 'trouble' (the instrumental on this one ), 'L/R' and 'shameless', can see all of those continuing to grow with further listens as well. Was also great to revisit 'stabilise', I remember enjoying that song when I first heard it last year but I haven't heard it for months now and it was sounding even better than I remembered on this listen. 'the dealer' was a great single choice too although 'anotherlife' not so much, I think that's actually my least favourite song on the album.
