I have hope but I doubt it’ll happen that we’d get some sort of flashback to Ian and Cindy finding each other again. It’s like the only missing piece.

Remember that this is the situation!!

Fingerprints on the sellotape AND tarp, walking around and screaming at night about a BODY!!!, a dropped call, phone in the Vic, Nish saying Stacey attackrd him, the police seeing they're friends, all of them surreptitiously whispering around the police, walking between each other to relay messages metres away from the po...

The only way this storyline would have worked is if they never found the body. Now Suki is gonna plant the murder weapon on Nish. Yawn and unrealistic.

Not every character needs a relationship! Relationships in soaps are usually really boring storylines anyway. When was the last good one, Sienna and Brody in Hollyoaks??

Also I see no problem in having characters do the realistic, everyday stuff. We need them for balance, against all thr high drama stuff. It's why Karen and Big No are the heart of the show!

I repeat, if absolute realism is what you want, soaps are not for you. I’m going to keep saying it.
A Jane return would be great given how dreadful her exit was last time. She goes away because she’s scared of Max and then doesn’t return when he’s no longer a threat, Ian ignores one phone call because he was distracted by Mel, who’s now been dead almost 5 years, and there’s not even been mention of Bobby going to visit her since he got out even though she’s legally his mother. I think she and Cindy would have issues to sort through as well.
Ya Jane got a terrible exit plus that whole max revenge storyline was just so messy that it ended up been a total wet blanket.
An exit they definitely need to rectify that's for sure. I'm now having horrible flashbacks to Max and the Browning/Willmott-Brown clan bleurgh

Ya that had such bad execution and outcomes,I'd like to see max return though

That definitely feels like a premature exit-hard to believe they’ve been back for five years! There’s still so much to do with the character.

Maybe it's only a temporary exit, they can always leave it open for him to come back. They could always recast but I feel like it will be some big shoes to fill. I'm wondering if the

Lucy anniversary episode

will tie into the exit storyline?

Speaking of, what are they doing with

Whitney? Are they gonna have her arrested for kidnap and that show she goes?

Cindy is actually one of my favourite characters right now, she seems to be the only one talking sense a lot of the time. I want them to do more with her as being tied to Ian feels super limiting, there's not much they're doing with him so I feel like his contract this time definitely has a shorter expiration date.

The storyline with George was always going to happen, completely predictable but they have more chemistry than he does with Elaine (who I can't stand)

so I'm not mad about that tbh. It would be nice for her to have a storyline outside of the men though, she would have been iconic as part of the 6 cover up for example

I agree about Cindy, i like how they have slowly integrated Cindy back in the show, sometimes when a character returns they are in every scene but Cindy hasn't been like that which is good, i completely agree Cindy would have great if part of the 6 cover up, i think it would have been a perfect storyline for her and i think i would swap her out for Kathy.

Agreed. Kathy has been useless and she can't act anyway, so she should only be given small storylines.

I wouldn't agree that Kathy can't act but this type of storyline doesn't suit her abilities or character.
I think Kathy has like one emotion/reaction to everything so whilst she arguably can act it's just not great especially when she's being grouped with 5 other characters who are much more entertaining and played by stronger actresses, I think in that context Cindy would have been a stronger choice as she's more on par with the rest of them, if a storyline doesn't suit an actress it's probably because she can't play it well, if she had the ability to do it well then she would without question. Gillian just has limited acting ability :kink: We can't blame the writing on that one because this storyline has been the most gripping one for the last year, it only shows how lacking Gillian actually is when it comes to the bigger scenes unfortunately
The storyline itself makes no sense. They were out screaming in the street about a body, and theie fingerprints will be ALL over the cellotspe. Sharon's dna may even be underneath his nails.
