If this is true then it's Kat isn't it? Phil's little rendezvous with Emma is yet to come out

Edit: Wait wait wait why is Jack there and where the heck is Theo? These fanpages don't have a clue do they

Double Edit: Apparently this image is a real promo good lord

Julia's Theme is used for the first time in a while for today's episode. Karen, Mitch, Bailey, Mack and Mia have left.

Quite the cull at once but it does make sense for Mitch (and Bailey) to leave with Karen. It leaves Bernie and Felix a bit exposed, I wonder if the axe might come for them next year

A fitting exit for Karen and Mitch. Keeping Mitch’s exit a secret was a good idea as it kept the idea of Karen going to prison alive right up until tonight. Bailey, Mack and Mia just weren’t appearing much at all so not much of a loss-i had to laugh at the idea of Bailey being emotional at leaving when she’s barely been there all year. I think this is like her fourth episode of 2023 or something.

I actually think Bernie and Felix will be fine for now. They both work well in their current roles and perhaps might even get more focus now the wider family have gone.

I still can’t shake the idea of Keanu being the Christmas victim. I imagine he won’t last long either way. Interesting to see Theo not in the line up but I guess his story is almost over and he was the only one that felt ‘created’ for the plot. Seriously doubt Phil will be in any danger whatsoever but since they’ve officially teased a seventh woman-has to be Kat right? Jack though I think could be in genuine trouble.

Mitch wont really be missed but it was good they kept that a secret plus it helps things make sense, i am a little disappointed Karen is gone though as i liked her, especially in the more lighter side of her character. really dont see the remaining Taylors lasting much longer unless they surprise and give Bernie a decent storyline to let her shine, Felix so far has been completely under developed so unless they have big plans i can see him going and based on his current character wouldnt be missed.

I'm sad to see Karen go as I really liked her.

I hope they make use of Bernie and she doesn't get axed.

You should see the scathing Karen (and Lorraine) has had on other sites like Walford Web over the years. The way they talk about her as if her appearance brought people out in hives

I generally have a positive mindset when it comes towards her character. She was rather grounded and brought in some much needed comedic value (though questionable at times - remember when she thought she was a lesbian for a day oop).

Karen had her moments but I believe EE tried to make her into some sort of forced icon in the same way they did with Mick Carter.

She was often pretty nasty-I’ll never forget when they tried to make her being racist into a comedic joke (the character clearly wasn’t racist so it never felt real) and she was downright awful to certain character over the years. She also has the whole ‘how am I gunna feed me kids’ storyline over and over acting as if the world owed her something despite the fact she usually got into those circumstances through her own poor decision making.

Lorraine Stanley could do the comedy and kindness very well but she really fell short at most moments requiring strong emotion for me. At those times, it really looked like she was acting and therefore it fell flat.

In short, she was alright but I won’t miss her.

Christopher Fairbank (Auf Wiedersehen, Pet) has been cast in the role of Eddie Knight and Elizabeth Counsell (Brush Strokes) will play Gloria Knight, both are George's adoptive parents and will appear from New Year's Day.

I'm just gonna put my two cents in and say I don't think any of the 6 are gonna be the killer, I think it's going to be another woman who they band together to protect. At the moment I'm thinking Bernie possibly, she's lost a lot this year and people haven't really been held accountable for that (at least as far as she's concerned) plus Kathy taking her under her wing, getting her the job in the vic where now Linda and Elaine are there for her, Sharon making an active point to include her in the wedding etc now that her family has gone. I'm wondering if it will be Keanu she kills though? They've not really done much with her character since the baby storyline so this would be a great one for her to be involved in and a lot of people overlook her in general so 🤷🏼‍♀️

Although I'm also thinking Nish could be killed as we know the murder weapon seems to be a bottle of champagne which is also what he hit Eve with so it would be quite karmic if that's how he met his end, not sure how that would work with Bernie though unless he goes to attack Suki or someone else and Bernie hits him to stop him?

Another week of cracking episodes *.*

Loving your theory there Lindsey and it'd be a great twist if true throwing in another person to the mix

Aww I was loving seeing Sharon and Kat being friendly with each other :cheeseblock:

EastEnders really is on another level to all other soaps isn't it? Can't actually believe how brilliant it is right now.
