Following the massive global success of his multi-platinum album 'R&G (The Masterpiece)', Tha Doggfather is back with his eighth studio album 'Tha Blue Carpet Treatment'. This time round Snoop Dogg the O.G. goes back to the original West Coast gangsta sound that made him a hip hop legend. The first single 'That's That' featuring R. Kelly is an instant classic. - HMV

This summer Shakira has sold more albums, singles, downloads and videos in the world than any other act. Following the worldwide smash hit single 'Hips Don't Lie', it's time for her next single, the ballad 'Illegal', featuring the guitar genius of Carlos Santana. On 'Illegal', Shakira slows the pace down as she reflects on deceit and love lost with the Latin American passion she is famous for. The electrifying video follows this superstar behind the scenes as she plays to hundreds of thousands of fans on the South American leg of her sold out world tour which will hit Europe next year. - HMV

'Christmas My A*se!' is a fun musical romp through the things which define Christmas for most of us – the same old films on tv, the fairy lights not working and the challenge of being patient with the in laws. Complete with sleigh bells and Ricky on banjo, 'Christmas My A*se!' pokes fun at the usual singalong Christmas single, and is guaranteed to be heard ringing out of pubs and clubs throughout the land this Festive Season, and on jukeboxes for years to come. - HMV

The greatest Christmas single of all time is released in its orginal (and best) form for the first time in 20 years. 'Merry Xmas Everybody' has come to definite the run up to Christmas as it is still one of the best and best-loved Christmas records - HMV

Chart Run: 53-21

'Littlest Things', Lily's love song, which she wrote about an ex-boyfriend and subsequently won back, is a departure from her usual upbeat tracks. It comes at the perfect time of year to really depress all those people who are desperate to get back with an ex. Wallow away. - HMV

Dissapointed third chart outing for Lily since her last hits went to #1 and #6. Maybe her 15 minutes of fame are running out

Chart Run: 75-20

Hailed as the first record to breakthrough from video hosting website YouTube, 'Chacarron' is a song with a difference. Originally recorded with mumbled vocals before "proper" lyrics could be added to the track, El Chombo (aka Rodney Clark and Andy De La Cruz) later decided to keep the rough skit in place - after all how could they ever top "Ihni Binni dimi diniwiny anu taime"? Now a bookies favourite for the Christmas Number 1 slot, 'Chacarron' is definitely a song you wont forget in a hurry, even if you don’t understand it! - HMV

Well we will see if he can score a second hit next year.

Yes, perhaps. But not a strong single. Not sure what the point was of releasing it really.

Fresh from his success Down Under on ITV’s 'I'm A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here' where he was crowned King Of The Jungle, Matt Willis looks to capitalise on his popularity back home with the release of 'Don't Let It Go To Waste', the title track from his debut solo album, following his split from Busted a couple of years ago. - HMV

Doubt it. It's a novelty single with little substance. Not even lyrics!

Chart Run: 16

After passing on covering 'Ding Ding Merrily On High' and 'Hoppin' Around the Christmas Tree', the Crazy Frog releases 'Last Christmas' as a tribute to George Michael and his 25th anniversary gig. Once again, the single, which includes party B-sides 'We Wish You A Merry Christmas' and 'Nellie The Elephant' (interpreted as only the Frog can), has delivered an animated video to match the work of Disney or Pixar's finest. Not only does our froggy friend escape from a factory trying to mould him into a doll, but he unwittingly frees Santa Claus from his dungeon where he is being held prisoner! - HMV

Cliff Richard is almost as synonymous with Christmas as Santa Claus, and so it's no surprise he's back with another festive release. '21st Century Christmas' is released as a double A side, with 'Move It' featuring Brian May on guitar and Brian Bennett on drums. - HMV

This is the 2,000,000 chart hit for Cliff Richard since 1958 and hit highest since the Milleniunm Prayer reached #1 in 1999.
