Posted April 11, 20223 yr New EP out now by Jasper TygnerĀ Ā South Londonās rising DJ/Producer talent Jasper Tygner returns with his sophomore EP for the coveted Silver Bear Recordings, four fresh cuts geared for pre-night listening and peak time club-ordnance alike. āBlushā is the conceptual prequel to Tygnerās debut EP, āEyes Openā which dropped last summer on the imprint. This two-part series recreates the sonic and emotive nuances of a night out. Whilst āEyes Openā was inspired by the afterhours of a rave, āBlushā recreates the euphoric anticipation of the preliminary stages of travelling to and being in the club. Conceived in the early hours of cold December mornings in 2021, āBlushā stemmed from Tygner finding cinematic visuals online showing strangers travelling to parties.Ā Title track āBlushā superbly displays Jasperās ability to make melodies rise and fall with sublime effect, combining sampled breakbeats layered with UK garage drumwork. āTapeā is an emotive and razor sharp slice of breaks-layered weaponry which will undoubtedly come to life on a well-tuned club system. The swinging percussion on āWell Iā shows Tygnerās cinematic use of pads and drifting melodies cement this body of work as something to be enjoyed on dancefloors and pre-parties alike. Growing up performing in Jazz and classical orchestras lends an undeniably lifelike character to Tygnerās sound, and his skills of layering and creating ambience shine through his productions. Combining four to the floor elements with club-inspired melodies, outro track āThe Lastā features drums sounds inspired by Berlin techno and shows yet another side to Tygnerās versatile production talent.Ā āIām excited to release Blush to the world and show a slightly different side to my output. It was inspired by images I found online of ravers heading to parties and by my recent trip to Berlin and the harder techno sounds coming out of the city. I wanted to create four club-ready tools which I can use as part of my DJ sets as Iām playing out a lot more this year. Iām supporting DJ Boring at Village Underground on 11th March just after the EP drops in March and canāt wait to drop them on the clubās legendary soundsystemā Jasper TygnerĀ Highly recommended. I love all 4 tracks. He's so consistent. For fans of the Club Bizarre entry I sent. The sound of this isn't too far off the recent Floating Points double single *.*
