Get thinking about your top 25 - hopefully we can have a few more members do them!

Lukuzz, you gonna go next?

Let’s go for another!

24. Say You’ll Be Mine

I always giggle at this video, especially just before the first chorus. If you know, you know. The band didn’t perform this on their Ultimate or their Party on the Dancefloor tours which is a shame as they have far worse singles that get performed as standard. It was a breath of fresh air to learn that they put it on their What The Future Holds tour set list! And what an addition it was :)

The great start to your countdown continues James, two excellent choices.

Looking forward to seeing what comes next.

I do just want to remind everyone before we really hit the ground running that I have some awful tastes haha!

I mean 'Loves Got A Hold On My Heart' isn't likely to feature in your countdown, so it's kind of a given.

All jokes aside its the unexpected choices I look forward to seeing the most. :)

I'm looking forward to the unexpected choices although I love the first two you have revealed but are placed too low.

Shall we reveal another one?

23. Stomp

I am pretty sure that you’ll all say this is too low as well but here we have Stomp! It samples Chic’s Everybody Dance which I love and often sing over the top of the chorus of Stomp. I remember this song coming out the week before Spice Girls’ Holler/Let Love Lead The Way and just knew Steps would be stepping down to give my girls their 9th number 1. I also remember being a bit sick of the H dominance coming through within the band. As a child, I was much more focussed on the girls than I was the boys. Naturally I’ve righted that wrong now.

That’s me now until probably tomorrow afternoon so here’s a little nugget for you to guess number 22:

“A single that peaked at Number 2”

I wonder what song it is that’s got a hold of the number 22 spot?

;)

Two more great choices  Say You'll Be Mine always feels quite underrated, so I'm happy to see that's one of your ultimate faves. Stomp is of course a bop!

I should’ve included SYBM in my countdown as well. The video and the song are very cute.

Stomp, quite underrated. Not their ultimate best but definitely good enough  glad it gave them another #1!

22. Better Best Forgotten

I did like this song more back in the day, but hearing the band don’t really appreciate it and consider it a bit “whiney” has dampened my spirit for it a little bit. I do think it’s one of the weaker singles from Step One but even then, it isn’t a weak single. Every time I watch the video I think of the glass panels falling into Faye’s back! Enjoy the HD video!

Steps have so many wonderful songs and Better Best Forgotten and Say You'll Be Mine are prime examples of top level pop music.

Just missing out on the Top 20 we have…

21. Wasted Tears

This could be because it’s newer, but it could just be an amazing track. At this point, I’m not sure which. I like the fact Lisa leads the intro on this song and I think the lyrics are quite on the nose to their past - even if they didn’t/don’t realise it!

A little teaser for the first song in the top 20:

It’s a single.

Hopefully I won’t keep you waiting a hundred years for it.

Wasted Tears is good and a infectious chorus.

Your hint suggests A Hundred Years of Winter is up next.
