Synthpop duo The Midnight are back! Their new single came out today and it’s good to see them switching it up a little with some rock influence thrown in there.

 

Oh wow this is insanely good! It's basically an 80s rock song :D

Yes I like it, its a good 80s rock revival tune, a genre which I haven't heard much revival of really since Star Pilots - In The Heat Of The Night!

It’s quite hard to do I think, there’s a fine line between it being a good throwback and just cringe.

 

That being said, I don’t think the Star Pilots song is rock in the slightest!

New single 'Heartbeat' was released a couple of days ago, and it's accompanied by the announcement of their fourth album 'Heroes' - out on September 9th.
