April 15, 20224 yr Lil Baby randomly scoring his highest debuting single ever as lead artist (and his second highest peaking song as lead artist behind 'Drip Too Hard'). Good timing for Ed to get him on a remix I guess! Am curious to compare where this song ends up debuting in the US, it's not done much on US Spotify although it is #2 on Apple Music which is generally a bigger market for Baby anyway. Cool to see 'Chaise Longue' not falling too far from its midweek position, and also hooray for Kae Tempest managing to hang onto a top 10 album <3 even remaining ahead of Camila.
April 15, 20224 yr Have there been other songs which have been Top 5 on First Look but then fallen out of the Top 40 by Friday? Is it more common than I'm thinking?
April 16, 20224 yr Have there been other songs which have been Top 5 on First Look but then fallen out of the Top 40 by Friday? Is it more common than I'm thinking? I think the one mentioned above from back in August 2020, You Are My Sunshine by Gareth Malone's Great British Home Chorus (which finished at #57), is the only other example that truly fits that! There has been one other instance of this since First Look started which was on its very first week when Remember The Name by Ed Sheeran, Eminem and 50 Cent was #3 on Sunday and never charted, but that was because of the three track per artist rule.
April 18, 20224 yr Has ‘Sweetest Pie’ underperformed os far? Or was it never really expected to be a big hit
April 18, 20224 yr ^Thanks, yeah I tend to agree. I think it’s underperformed so far. (Sorry I have t figured out how to multi quote).
April 18, 20224 yr Its one of the biggest flops of the year Considering Spotify gave it crazy support from day 1 But no one cared

April 19, 20224 yr Has ‘Sweetest Pie’ underperformed os far? Or was it never really expected to be a big hit It's performed better than what Megan's singles usually do in the UK and is stable in the US. Yeh 5 weeks and only top 60 now! Not really surprising considering Hot Hits have pushed it down to #36 after starting at #10 on day 1.
April 19, 20224 yr It's performed better than what Megan's singles usually do in the UK and is stable in the US. Not really surprising considering Hot Hits have pushed it down to #36 after starting at #10 on day 1. If these are the best accolades stans can put forward then it's safe to say it's been a bomb.
April 19, 20224 yr "2nd most stable 2nd week of any new release on the hot 100 in 2022" How do you spell clutching at straws?
April 19, 20224 yr Have there been other songs which have been Top 5 on First Look but then fallen out of the Top 40 by Friday? Is it more common than I'm thinking? I think this happened with Craig David - All We Needed as well as another example but could be wrong.
