It hasn’t exactly shone outside of that story though, has it?

I can't help but feel EE's nominations were quite narrow? 5 categories were focused on Jean, and whilst I'm glad Gillian and Lacey won an award, it doesn't shine the best light on the soap's past year.

I agree they could of given a few nominations to the Gray storyline imo . While it definitely dragged on Toby Alexander and Zaarah Abrahams (Gray and Chelsea) in particular put on some great performances and the last episode of him finally being caught could of been nominated for Best Single Episode .

 

They ruined the stroyline and it strayed far too much which is probably why it was completely lover looked, but they both put great performances, for me i was surprised Eastenders done half ok as i wasnt expecting much for them and def didnt expect them to get more than Corrie, the awards seemed very evenly spread this year, not sure what others think but i think more categories should be open to public vote.
