Posted May 15, 20223 yr Finally! After their massive success in 2018 with 'Pray for the Wicked', Panic are back and are cryptically teasing new music on https://www.shutupandgotobed.com/
May 15, 20223 yr Author Panic!, MCR and Paramore all releasing in the same year :cheeseblock: (Come on Fall Out Boy!)
May 29, 20223 yr Author The single is titled “Viva Las Vengeance”. And it sounds like they’re going back to more of a pop-rock sound from the preview on Instagram.
May 30, 20223 yr Author They've got a solid enough fanbase that I don't think the 4 years will make a difference in that respect. Possibly for mainstream success, but it doesn't really matter if 'High Hopes' was just a fluke anyway. In other news, apparently, the touring band have writing credits for the first time on this single! I wonder if they'll end up being confirmed as "official" members of Panic?
June 1, 20223 yr Author God this is absolutely fantastic! Such a catchy chorus, feels like a return to the 2010-ish sound of Panic but still sounds very fresh. I'm glad he didn't just opt for something similar to 'High Hopes'. Album tracklisting: 1. Viva Las Vengeance 2. Middle of a Breakup 3. Don't Let the Light Go Out 4. Local God 5. Star Spangled Banner 6. God Killed Rock and Roll 7. Say It Louder 8. Sugar Soaker 9. Something About Maggie 10. Sad Clown 11. All by Yourself 12. Do It to Death
June 2, 20223 yr I like it. The start of the second verse I think is very early 70s glam rock sounding like Wizzard lol! Not such a big fan of Brendon Urie doing his highest pitched vocal in the chorus.
July 8, 20222 yr Author The second single is being teased... it‘s rumoured to be an All Time Low collab!
August 2, 20222 yr Author Pretty good! It’s a shame how low-key this era is though, there seems to be little to no marketing/promo for it - even though the arena tour next year is selling well. ‘Local God’ is out on Friday.
