This year's race looks set to be a genuinely great race given that the cars are approaching the highest speeds that they've ever achieved. Dixon's pole setting pace was record breaking already and he must be the favourite once again.

But it is Indy and nothing is assured. Given the lack of incident in the build up so far this month, my only concern is that the race will redress that balance.

With the new breed of F1 cars potentially offering up the chance for Monaco to actually be fun again we could be in for two great races this weekend.

Colton Herta joined the former club yesterday but has been cleared to race

I've always felt like Ericsson was a better driver than he was given credit for in F1! Obviously not world champion material, but seemed solid (especially towards the end). Well deserved Indy 500 win, and was nowhere near Grosjean, so couldn't be blamed for that. 😂
