I think it means the top 3 has 2 songs from Steps later releases and 1 from thei rearlier releases.

#3 - It's The Way You Make Me Feel - 121

 

 

Taking out 3rd place and the bronze medal with an impressive score of 121 is It’s The Way You Make Me Feel. Released as the second single from Buzz on the 1st of January 2001 it was yet another #2 peaking hit for Steps. A small release era saw some shops in the UK sell this a week early which saw the song make it’s chart debut a week earlier than expected, all the way down at #72, Steps lowest debut position on the singles chart at the time. Again this saw a very limited release outside the UK but it did manage to reach #8 in Ireland. It’s The Way You Make Me Feel received votes from six of the seven participants. I don’t know how any Steps fan can be so against It’s the Way You Make Me Feel! I think it’s a great pop song and a career highlight, thankfully that’s reflected in these results.

I think it definitely deserved top 10 maybe even top 5, but I'd have it behind a few of their other 97-01 hits.

Im in that category about the ballads, ITWYMMF is probably one of their better ballads but still not a huge fave for me.

Finishing with the silver medal in 2nd position is Something In Your Eyes, with a score of 133. Released on the 27th of October 2020 as What The Future Holds second single this was a huge hit with the fans from the moment they heard it. This cover of the Jenny Silver song which was in the running to represent Sweden at Eurovision 2011. Something In Your Eyes received votes from all seven participants, including a 25 from Yobnedor. I'm sure we can all guess what #1 will be.

I knew this would do very well, I knew I would be its lowest ranker but it still got points from me as I really like it, I didnt expect the top 2 to be from steps more current material as I thought one for sorrow or ITWYMMF would be top 2.

Yes, I'm also surprised the top 2 are from 2017 onwards songs. I thought Deeper Shade of Blue would've finished top 2.
