It'd be great to compare the 2021 Survivor results to these to see how similar the order is, well for the singles at least.

#1 - Scared Of The Dark - 151

 

 

There could be only one winner and it is the song that relaunched Steps back into the pop world in March 2017, 15 years and 3 months after they called it a day in December 2001. Scared Of The Dark takes the crown, the gold medal, the #1 position in the Steps forums Ultimate 25 with a score of 151 (out of a maximum of 175)! As mentioned Scared Of The Dark was released on the 10th of March 2017 and marked the first new Steps single in 15 years and what a triumphant return it was, not just to the pop world but also to the charts when it would debut and peak at #37. Now I know that may not be overly impressive but for a mostly 90’s pop act to score a top 40 hit in the streaming dominated charts is huge! Well at least to me anyway. Scared Of The Dark received votes from all seven participants, including a 25 from Jay. (23-20-23-22-20-18-25).

I think 'Something in Your Eyes' has now emerged as my favourite post-comeback song, it's just pure magic and it never gets old - it just gets better.

 

Whoever heard the original and realised that would be perfect for Steps is a genius, and thank God they did.

Scared of the Dark is a worthy winner.
