It's straight in at 1 for the second time this year for Todd Rundgren as his other huge American hit from his 1972 Somewhere/Anywhere album finally tops my personal chart after being excluded at the time (cos it didnt make the UK top 30). It made the sales chart last week on it's 50th chart birthday debuting in the States, and I Saw The Light is still a West Coast classic. Todd was busy producing Sparks 50 years ago, too. And Abba had their first hit, People Need Love, in Sweden. I'm seeing ABBAtars Voyage in 3 weeks and a bit.

Up 70 place meanwhile, to 2, Moby's jaw-droppingly beautiful album track featured in Stranger Things season 4, When It's Cold I'd LIke To Die, giving Moby a new chart peak after 30 years of trying. Elvis has his biggest hit with "new" material since JXL's remix 20 years ago as Don't Fly Away climbs to 4, courtesy of Pnau, who are doing for Elvis what they did for Elton John. Both Suspicious Minds and Any Day Now have topped my charts before.

Bob Moses also rockets up to 5 with the terrific Love Brand New helping to give the top 10 a clear-out, along with Neiked getting a second top 10 and Anne-Marie a first ditto Latto. Highest new new entry is First Aid Kit and Angel, their 7th chart entry in 8 years, while Sparks bring an old album track from the 00's into the chart for a Sex Machine run of 48 years and 50 years after Todd Rundgren got their recording career started. Calvin Harris and Dua Lipa add to their long list of continuing hits with Potion, The 1975 have nice 2nd chart entry with Part Of The Band, DNCE make it double-Jonas-Brother's at the same time, and Harry Styles brings Sign Of The Times back after a Netflix sitcom feature, God's Own Idiot.

Hey John!

Afraid to feel making big gains *.* Fab stuff. I sense a future #1 here I think.

I'm so glad to see don't you worry scaling your chart. I honestly think it's so fab and the bashing it's recieved is very unwarranted.

Not no one dies from love peaking at #48. That's pathetic. Get it sorted 😜

Hey James! :)

I'm not sure LF System will top my chart but hey I said that before and you were right!

Don't You Worry is old-fashioned fun Black Eyed Peas, so I guess people not feeling nostalgic!

Well, your command about Tove Lo is obeyed  It might not have peaked high so far but it's turning into a long-runner which means it will end up higher in my Year-End Charts than others that peaked top 40 and then dropped out quickly :)

Cheers! B-)

Hi AH! :)

Ive been OK this week thanks, on the beach mostly with Martin who enjoys nothing more than sunshine and swimming and watching the world go by :) I'm very biased when it comes to Elvis classics and PNAU, but it's been swamped by oldies this week that I love even more!

Thanks for the Sparks tip, I really don't recall that track at all and it wasn't on their recent Past Tense collection so it's not one I've been aware of. It's great. Sparks are always great!

Cheers! B-)

Hey Rob! :)

Yes indeed on Elvis :D Sign Of The Times I under-rated at the time, though I liked it a lot - I've since heard on God's Idiot Helper sitcom and it's very effectively used in it!

cheers! B-)

Hi SSP! :)

Cheers for the picks! B-)

Hi there John!

Nice to see the big gains for "Afraid To Feel", "Out Of Time", "Vision Thing" and "DON'T YOU WORRY" and the debuts for "Potion" and "Sign Of The Times".

Great chart!
