'Alright' which was the B-side to the vinyl release of Long Way Off last year and which had its own release for Record Store Day earlier this year is getting a digital release tomorrow.

One of his best tracks, so pleased after it originally being relegated to a b-side they’ve now released it and it’s getting some love from Spotify’s NMF.
"Alright" is a pretty good tune and sounds pretty fresh. Hopefully, people stop rinsing the year old SGU

Debuts at #42 on Spotify today! Sam confirmed at Finsbury Park yesterday that other unreleased songs from SGU are also set to get releases this year.

This shows how B sides are often forgotten even when they are great songs and I welcome Alright avoiding this.

So many artists have so many brilliant B Sides.

One of his favorite tracks and more to come it seems, that will keep interest going while he is on his American tour.

Really hope ‘Alright’ can make the Top 100 on Friday :cheer:

He has so many amazing unreleased songs that he has randomly performed at shows - really looking forward to seeing what they pull from the vaults to release, and it just shows how strong his songwriting is that songs like ‘Alright’ didn’t even make the cut for the deluxe version of the album.

He’s the cover star of Spotify’s ‘The Rock List’ and ‘Alright’ is track 2 - it has just under half a million subscribers so hopefully that will help keep it a bit stable :cheer:
It’s also track 1 on Amazon’s ‘Fresh Indie’ and Apple’s ‘New Alternative’ playlists

They’re pushing it quite a lot for a B-side! Not complaining though ;)

I mean it was a b-side, it technically isn't anymore now it has a standalone release

Drops from #42 to #160 on Spotify with the impact of NMF fading.

Still more than I expected for a track with no build up, no airplay, video or promotion and was only mentioned on Sam’s socials once when it was released.
