16 new entries and 1 re-entry mark the week for the top 50 chart. Highest debut goes to the well-produced banger Bloom by Melanie Wehbe. After that, we have the gorgeous Teko which reminds me a lot of Highasakite's Autopsy and Metric's Doomscroller. It is 7 minutes long but it is wonderfully epic. Augustowskie Noce is next which is synth-heavy but the soundscape is astounding. A couple more debuts featuring different languages and genres hover below.

 

Light Of Day successfully reigns the chart this week with beautiful strings and synths. ODESZA and Ólafur Arnalds collab is perhaps one of the best to grace this year's electronic music. BLACK BOX FAKE FACT edges closer to number one again, perhaps looking to take home another week at number one in the coming weeks. Meanwhile, last week's number one Choral drops to number three, with Tell Me Your Politik and Rag Doll rounding up the top 5. Fever Dream, Found and Don't Pray For Me are the new entries to the top 10. Meanwhile, Persone Fragili, unavailbale on YouTube, jumps 19 places to become the biggest riser this week.

Number One Entry

 

This electronica track is phenomenal. The soundscape produced by the synths on ODESZA side, coupled with the orchestral arrangement of Ólafur Arnalds goes so well. The video gives the context on the song and honestly I'm beyond touched! This is a work of art.

 

Highest New Entry

 

This is giving Melodifestivalen winner vibes in a good way. The melody is so good and the production is what you would expect from Sweden. I love the variety in the pitch and between verses and choruses. This is not going to bore you at all and it's beautiful!

 

Biggest Jump

 

This is sadly not available on YouTube but wow what a gem this is! The soundscape is impeccable and they sure know how to make use of the synths! The vocal effects add to the mood of the song without feeling too forced. The progression of this song is well-crafted. The song has grown on me loads and it could take me even further!

 

One to Watch

 

If you are looking for a song that you could send to BJSC that sounds like Autopsy or Doomscroller, this might be the song! This is long and it builds up really nicely to the big drop in the middle. Once that happens, it sounds absolutely gorgeous and there's a lot going on which will keep your mouth agape. I also love how they spend a minute on the outro!

It's a shame to see pure/honey already on the fall but hey ho. Hopefully it can stabilise. I do hope they reconsider the single choices and perhaps include this as a maybe. Would love it.
