The results don’t bother me there is just nothing to take from a game like that. It was just a mess and a waste of time. That is more worrying for Amorim as you need to show signs you’re getting somewhere and that was anything but. Maybe he needed more years development as a manager before getting such a job. No idea. There is no quick fix to this that’s for sure

Weird how it’s rinse and repeat for them at home, same over and over again. He’s about as pragmatic as Russell Martin!
Martinez tore his ACL out for 10 months

Never nice to see, but can't help but feel a bit of karma for trying to two foot players!

Interesting how Utd are trying to balance the books at the moment. Guess they're hoping Rashford does well and someone takes the plunge on him in the summer, otherwise suspect they're going to be forced to sell Mainoo or Garnacho to be able to re-invest.

Worst transfer window ever. No way are we going to finish top half this season now. What a mess the club is in.

I think this season is a write off, they know they are not going to be in Europe so have decided to wait until the summer and hope to make some £££ then and buy then.

He’s had three serious injuries since joining Man Utd. Another Luke Shaw. One of the few technically good buys from Ten Haag and it still doesn’t work out. That Dutchman set Man Utd back a long way.

The club has no money to spend. Might as well play young players and hope to find a gem

I wasn't impressed by Martinez myself, came with this 'butcher' reputation but in reality was a very cowardly defender, always pulling out of challenges and constantly being bullied by strikers. Definitely not built for the big bad prem. Also made inexplicable errors like letting the ball bounce into the net against Forest.

Still better than both Maguire and De Ligt mind!

Yeah I pretty much agree. Had some good games but overall was probably lightweight. The guy they signed from Arsenal was supposedly his backup so he might get a chance to show he deserves to be first choice

He played some games in the euros but hasn’t played for Man Utd in a year. Same thing happened with Phil Jones and now Mason Mount(remember him) and Martinez. Don’t know if it’s luck, bad scouting or just something wrong with Man Utd training

Sounds like Shaw's body has just broken down - happens. And get the impression Mount is the same too, some players are just more injury prone - no idea why. Maybe their bodies are just not conditioned for the intensity! I think the Martinez one is just unlucky though.
One thing that has shocked me with Martinez is that he’s 27 I thought he was 23-24 another £50million down the drain for sure
Who have Utd recruited since INEOS came in?

Everyone in the summer which they decided was a failure so they sacked Dan Ashworth a few months after paying 3 mil compensation for him from Newcastle.

So Zirkzee, Ugarte, De Ligt, Mazzouri then two Arsenal youngsters and now the left back from Italy for 30 mill. More a continuation of sluggish signings than an improvement though the philosophy now seems to be buy younger and cheaper which is probably a better idea

I still think Ugarte was an inspired signing, they really need to build around him and Bruno in the summer.

The younger and cheaper list is definitely the way to go. Only problem is in that 15-18 market the likes of Liverpool and Chelsea exploit it quite well so it’s saturated. But on the whole it’s really low risk, you might spend a small outlay at the start, but even if most of them don’t work out, there’s pure profit. Issue is though you have to play them! I think part of Man Utd’s struggle is they’re looking for big marquee signings and short term fixes.
