I've always wondered what it feels like to be part of a relegation dogfight as a fan so guess I'll find out this season...

Next match scares me, I thought 7-0 would be the lowest of lows but there's every chance we could see another 9-0.

Would be classic football for you to pick up a result! If this was Ten Haag he’d have played conservative, but you feel Amorim will go for 352. Can’t see it being a big score though, but you’ll have to be superb defensively to stop us from scoring, we’ll definitely give up chances and Quansah at CB for us is definitely a weak link at this moment in time.

  • He's been on par with Chelsea's Robert Sanchez this season who is also shockingly mistake-prone for a 'top' team. At least they've had the foresight to kick him out of the team (even though the backup

Amorim actually saying relegation is a possibility

And yet not being pragmatic at all!

Casemiro and Erikson in midfield is basically a soccer aid midfield at this point. I know he likes to mess around with the team but he surely can never play those two together again

I’d be surprised if they started at anfield, genuinely feel they will do a lot better against us as all the focus will be on us to attack.

It’ll be Ugarte and Kobe in the middle too which are a different prospect to Eriksen and Casimero!

I think the danger will be, if they play expansive football, then we'll have loads of space on the counter attack. But clearly they're going to play Ugarte, Fernandes and probably Garnacho.

Yeah they won’t but it doesn’t matter, Man Utd are not close to Liverpool’s level. I expect a 5-2 type of result but 9-0 is more likely than Man Utd winning

Stranger things have happened but Liverpool are strong favourites obviously being top of the table. Tough run now with United at home, Brentford and Forest away!
Just watched the new two part documentary series about Fergie on BBC iPlayer. It reminds me of better days as a United fan, and I lamented it probably won't get better than that anytime soon.
Fergie had remarkable emotional intelligence for an old school British manager. I saw a clip from a podcast the other day with Eva and he was talking about how Fergie never ever gave Scholes the hairdryer treatment no matter what. He knew how to treat specific people differently. That was a large reason for his success
Rashford "too ill" for the Liverpool game, wasn't he also "too ill" for all of the Xmas games despite going to a kid's school and handing out free meals? This guy is a joke.

Why did he not do that with Scholes?

Why did he not do that with Scholes?

Who knows. Probably he’s more shy and reserved and wouldn’t respond well to it

Yeh that’s exactly what it was, I felt like that at school, some teachers gave me a by ball because I was shy.

You’ve given me the belief to start the Fergie documentary tonight lol!

That wasn't expected at all! Think it was more you lot playing way below par or perhaps a few players thinking it would be an easy win. Can only imagine the scenes if Maguire of all people had actually scored that chance at the end.

Looked like it was offside though, but would have been close.

It was a classic Man Utd performance - raised their game and played well. Think everyone (pundits, crowd, players) just thought we'd turn up and win. I think if you take the emotion out of the game and look at it holistically, Liverpool did have the better chances throughout and created way more, but we were definitely below par today. The passing was all off and we were losing duels all over the park. Amorim's post match interview was mad tho.

Why was his interview mad, what did he say?

It was expected for me, I even said it in a post above. The narrative surrounding the game this week had built it up and it always happens like that. We did play poorly so good to get a point and move on.

I don’t think anyone doubts the ability of the United players it’s all the mental and attitude side that’s questioned.

Much better from Man Utd and good signs that this is the right manager. Liverpool were lucky to get a draw. Still big question marks over Hojiund he just seems a level below what is needed sadly

He said the players needn't get carried away (or words to those effect). Which is true. While I don't think we played well, we still created a lot of good chances. I know everyone goes on about the Maguire chance at the end, but the Virgil header was way closer. That was the big chance. It's easy to get up for the big games where there's nothing to lose, but no point putting in a good performance if you go and stink the place out the following weekend against a mid-table team.

The attitude of Diallo at the end summed it up for me, scores a goal and walks around with the match ball at the end thinking he'd scored a hattrick until someone told him to stop being a melon and put the ball down

Manchester United have agreed terms on a new contract for Amad Diallo, according to ESPN.

The 22-year-old has reportedly signed a long-term deal to stay at Old Trafford and an announcement is imminent.

Amad has scored six goals across 28 appearances so far this season, including the equaliser in the recent 2-2 draw against Liverpool at Anfield.
