  • He certainly does deserve a lot of credit but to see him lift the trophy in a parade would be very John Terry Champions League final 2012 🤣

  • Don't think they would win it myself! Way too many new players to have to hit the ground running all at once.

We will miss him, but he's definitely past his best now. He's still our best finisher, but the job Slot asks him to do does not suit his strengths or skillset anymore. He thrives off being able to be afforded space and he certainly misses Trent and some of the more direct football we played under Klopp. Just kind of boggles me that we ask one of the best inside forwards to hold width which clearly isn't his strength. Give him the ball early and he's still amazing, but with the style of football we currently play, it's not set up for Salah at all.

I know if we don’t make the champions league Slot is toast, even if we do he may be toast if we don’t start well next season. We concede far to many goals in injury time.

This has to be your biggest trough of the season, making one of worst PL teams look competent!

It's all on Slot, we've been like this all season. Our players don't have the legs for the intensity of the Premier League, I've seen this game way too many times this season. We've beaten one of the bottom 6 at home this season, that is absolutely pityful. The football we play is boring, we don't create big chances and coaches constantly know our weak spots.

Slot is absolute toast.

I mean yes it's almost a certainty Slot will be gone in the Summer now surely, unless you win the CL or something ridiculous. Especially with Alonso literally waiting in the wings...

Winning the league with the previous manager's squad then spending half a billion to finish outside the top 5 (which I don't think will actually happen but still) would be monumental levels of ineptitude.

I think he will be gone regardless, and I wouldn’t even be sure it will be Alonso to take over.

Our problem is our team are always the smartest people in the room, we think longer term which is great, but football is also a short term business. I agree Slot spent a lot of money in the summer, but if you factor in what we sold and also the fact we didn’t spend anything the previous summer I’m not really sure that can be a stick to beat him with.

What I’ve been increasingly annoyed about with Slot is it’s clear we are missing a genuine winger. But I don’t think that would solve our problems. A lot of them are down to him being too stubborn and I’m not sure I rate his leadership style. There’s been a lot of red flags this year.

Again, I’m not too concerned really. We still have a great squad and I really do think we will challenge for the title next season with a change. Just not sure Slot’s ideal style of football suits Anfield.

Mo Salah has announced that he will leave the club at the end of the season.,

Should have left last season as more of a legend rather than this very weak (by his standards) season he's having.

When I was little, I liked Liverpool because I was in love with Fernando Torres 🤣

I doubt it’ll matter much in the long run!

It's crazy, he's having a poor season but his numbers are still similar to Saka's! Just goes to show how great he's been.

Undoubtedly with hindsight it would have been better to leave at the end of the last season, but I don't think Mo wanted it and nor did the fans. It's quite clear this season he's dropped off athletically and with the enw players we have, we've not the balance right to support Mo. A true Premier League great and one to be added to the Hall fo Fame pretty soon along with KDB. Likke Steve says, while the word legend is branded about a lot these days, he is undoubtedly a true Liverpool legend.

That stat in the 2020s and Old Trafford is absolutely mad. Here's hoping for another send off event in May for the old times sake!

It will be many years before Liverpool has the same pedigree of player again as they had with him.

Won't be too long until we help build or create the next new superstar.

You need a new manager to draw up the blueprints first. Slot will be gone soon and then you'll be trying to build a new squad all over again which as United fans we know can take many years.

I mean he’s one of the greatest players in our history and a premier league legend so that’s pretty obvious 🧐

United build new squads every year throwing millions at players. I hope we are still run a lot better than Man United.

Well Saka has been dreadful this season tbf!

But yeah a dip from his usual insane standards was inevitable eventually and made him a victim of his own success in many ways. Undoubtedly a top 10 PL player of all time, it's just his tantrum pre-Afcon that'll leave a bit of a sour taste, he could have been a lot more graceful to the club that essentially made him.

Certainly from a United standpoint this is a huge relief as no player in history caused us so much grief 😅

I don’t think I’ve ever seen a Liverpool player who showed no respect at all to old Trafford 😂
