The noise at anfield during the national anthem was great to see, very proud to be a Liverpool fan after that. Virgil’s face standing in the line up was equally funny!

It was all a bit disrespectful to the real King though.. Mo Salah of course!!

I thought we were superb yesterday. Brenford got a foul at every available opportunity and they created abosolutely nothing all game. We're starting to look a lot more defensively solid, which bodes well for next season when I suspect we will fly under the radar. Our form over the last 15 games would have us at the high 80s over a season. Top 4 is a stretch this season and we left it a bit too late, but pleasing signs for next year if we get the midfield sorted.

    Shocking news

  • He certainly does deserve a lot of credit but to see him lift the trophy in a parade would be very John Terry Champions League final 2012 🤣

Yeh they were massivrly up for it and thoroughly deserved to win. If anyone other than Liverpool I’m glad a team like Newcastle won it as it’s been so long!

🤣 Indeed at least Mo has earned his respect!

Yeh liking these 1-0 wins, hope we get a few midfielders in now Milner is confirmed to be joining Brighton - I’d take Jacob Ramsay from Villa if available.

Great player, same as Milner as well. But Bobby's pace has dropped off and he's stacking up the injuries. We kept a few players an extra few too many seasons and clear we got the best years out of Bobby. Ready for a big summer now.

The Gerrard factor and the mega wages factor around this? Would he still play for England?

If Henderson leaves then Van Dijk will be captain and Allisson vice-captain. Personally, I think there is a lot of politics in the story. Saudi want to pay £700k a week in salary, but don't want to pay a transfer fee - bonkers. The story moved pretty fast yesterday but then slowed down. Suspect Henderson's camp here is sounding out how much playing time he will get at Liverpool next season and also the likelihood of him being picked for England for the Euros.

Fabinho is also the subject of interest too.

Liverpool will consider joining the race for Moises Caicedo if they lose Jordan Henderson and Fabinho to Saudi Arabia, talkSPORT understands.

Fabinho has been left out of Liverpool's squad for a training camp in Germany following a £40m bid for the midfielder from Saudi Arabian club Al-Ittihad.

Liverpool captain Jordan Henderson has also been linked with a move to Saudi Arabia but he is travelling to Germany.

The Reds received the offer for Brazil international Fabinho on Friday night.

Liverpool have reached an agreement with Saudi Pro League side Al Ettifaq over the £12m sale of captain Jordan Henderson.

The deal has been agreed between the two clubs, paving the way for the 33-year-old England international to secure his move to Saudi Arabia, though he has yet to agree personal terms

Imagine telling Henderson at the start of his career he'd be the highest ever paid English player... when he's 33!
Happy enough with that as he’s very injury prone now albeit a good player and might be an important loss in the dressing room!

£12m is a good fee for a 33 year old. I think it's a loss to the dressing room and points to an entrie overhaul of our midfield pretty much. It was garbage last season though.

Way too much change to see us challenge for the title this year, but longer term, this is a massive positive for us. We'll no longer be the oldest/one of the oldest squads!
