Now the Drake Spotify numbers are through I think Anti Hero will probably get a third week at #3. Anti Hero has held #3 and the 2 Drake tracks above it are only 50k and 125k ahead, they will drop pretty sharply over the week

 

Album I wouldn't be surprised if Taylor stuck at #1 either now, I expected way higher numbers from Drake. WW he barely did half of Midnights' first day

Yup, looking at the Spotify numbers, I think Taylor has a good chance of a third week at #1 … streaming queen :funky:

Soo glad it’s number 1 in the first update. Should hold onto number 1 then as I’d have imagined it not being #1 in this update and then taking over later in the week!

Drake is only 3k ahead on albums and he's dropping pretty sharp on Spotify.. I wouldn't be surprised if she ends up with another week at #1 on albums either! Either way it'll be very close - the gap is only going to get smaller

Drake has no physical albums and so far this week she is selling 800-900 a day, so unless Drake keeps his current momentum up I think she might just take the edge!

This really is by far the most cohesive album in years. I was a full on Taylor hater after shake it off and 1989. But this album is truly amazing.

i think folklore and evermore are pretty cohesive...

 

i would agree with reputation and lover which both feel like their 2 different albums..

As some of you will know I broke up with my partner the day this album came out and at the time I wasn't too fussed about listening to it, like I do like Taylor but more in a casual way, I listen to Speak Now more than any of her other albums and I wasn't big on Folklore/Evermore so I wasn't in a hurry to listen to this. I've been finding it really difficult to listen to music because it's something that was a big part of my last relationship, it's how we met/got together so almost every song reminds me of that so I had a fear of even putting my Spotify on shuffle :lol:

 

ANYWAY I decided I needed to listen to something new with no memories etc attached so I turned to this and let me tell you, a brilliant decision!!! I am OBSESSED and the lyrics are really hitting home for me on a lot of levels, it's the album I didn't know I needed and it came at the best time for me. It's extremely cohesive yet there's a song for every feeling I've had recently. I've found a lot of comfort in it which I think I'll be forever grateful for.

 

I've just put the 3am version on for the first time and i was in tears after Bigger Than The Whole Sky. I have a lot of favourites, I'll give a full review or rate or something at some point when my brain is less like much but yea LOVE this album, soundtrack to my breakup! Lmfao

So sorry to hear about your break up :( Break ups suck :( but I’m glad that you’re listening to something fresh and new with no memories associated to your past relationship and that you’re enjoying it so much. I love this album so much - I completely agree with what you another’s have said about cohesion. I love that it’s so personal to Taylor too.

 

Honestly though, this album has completely destroyed my Spotify wrapped for the year

Midnights at number 2 this week. Very unlikely it will return to #1 next week but I wonder if there’s a quiet week running up to Christmas / in January where she could take another week at #1??
