October 13, 20222 yr I think it is more about not pointing at Geri who is clearly the hold up when it comes to international dates... Brexit Spice strikes again -_-
October 13, 20222 yr Author Here's the footage of Melanie C being asked about a forthcoming Spice Girls tour at the Attitude red carpet: @1580594931084558341
November 5, 20222 yr Author Geri has a role in the upcoming Gran Turismo movie that is planned to be in theatres in August 2023, and a new children’s book series launching in Autumn 2023. I’m curious about how this will fit in with a Spice Girls reunion. If she’s turning up to premieres and then presumably giving her all to promoting books, that doesn’t suggest to me that she’ll be embroiled in a Spice Girls schedule from August onwards? So could whatever they’re intending to do all be over with by late next summer? Obviously there’s very little to go on at the moment, but it would be a shame if another proposed reunion for them ends up being a relatively brief endeavour. I’d love for a new reunion era to involve way more TV/Radio/Magazine/Online interviews, generally more exposure than them doing a day of promo and then their appearances being few and far between until a tour.
November 5, 20222 yr If the rumours of them doing World Pride in march are true, I think they will do Spring/Summer again and be done by July 2023. Whatever is being planned, it really doesnt bode well for us, sadly. Geri having her author and actress moment (again....) instead of a Spice reunion, along with Mel C already mentioning new solo music? I will be very surprised if there is a world-wide Spice tour at all in 2023. Pisses me right off though..
November 5, 20222 yr There will never be a long reunion for the girls it will always be a short money grab cash in they’ve made that very clear with previous reunions. I am actually shocked at how long the return tour lasted in retrospect.
November 5, 20222 yr There will never be a long reunion for the girls it will always be a short money grab cash in they’ve made that very clear with previous reunions. I am actually shocked at how long the return tour lasted in retrospect. Long? It was only 3 weeks of touring and it all went south as soon as the last tour date was done, again lol
November 5, 20222 yr Long? It was only 3 weeks of touring The Return of the Spice Girls Tour actually lasted 3 months.
November 5, 20222 yr Long? It was only 3 weeks of touring and it all went south as soon as the last tour date was done, again lol I meant the 2007 one Return of the spice girls not the spiceworld 2019 one.
November 5, 20222 yr Ah thought you were talking about the 2019 one... Even the 2007-2008 one was short lived, it went on for half a year, including the release of the GH and 3 months of touring the UK and USA.... Just sad. Edited November 5, 20222 yr by Mr.X
November 8, 20222 yr Author So these are holding pages with a lot of filler stuff on it to pad them out (some of the same text is repeated over and over) - but really these shouldn't be accessible/live on the site! I feel like that's a mistake, or at least they didn't bargain on someone discovering the links. There isn't an AO Arena in London, so that's another example of them writing anything. AO Arena is in Manchester.
November 8, 20222 yr Tbf to them it was only because one fan decided to type in lots of things after thespicegirls and add .com at the end that they were found. Hopefully an announcement is happening asap.
November 8, 20222 yr Please, we need this!! It also looks like they have sections for videos, which would be amazing to have videos of the 2019 tour!
November 8, 20222 yr A mistake or just a tease? Spiceworld25UKTour Also it looks like they might have caught wind of the fans figuring out the link exists, as it now automatically redirects to a Spiceworld25 page  FINALLY SOME PROMO :teresa:
November 9, 20222 yr According to Chris Stroud (who has personal connections with the girls and their team), this is all an old page and there is no tour to be announced... There is also this @1590109262973661184 Which translates to: '(they) asked us to delete the tweet with the Spiceworld 25 UK Tour news. And as we are an account that we respect the requests of the team. And they said that this was an old test page and that it wasn't even supposed to appear for those who enter' Take that as you will...
November 9, 20222 yr Also, and sorry to be the bearer of bad news today, URGH, but Kelly Rowland has been announced as the other headliner of World Pride so it looks like the girls are out of the picture for that one too... I am BORED of this...
November 9, 20222 yr I would say too much effort is going into making the website a proper website for it to be for no reason. There was also an individual page and bio of each girl that they have hidden after it being found yesterday. Given all this costs time and money it must be being done for a reason as if they wanted a website full of music, videos, bios, live stuff they would have had it ready for when the site was relaunched 6 weeks ago.
November 9, 20222 yr Im not sure. I know we have been hearing rumblings, but those 'rumblings' have gone on and on since 2005 to be honest with you. At this stage, bearing in mine the two things above, I would rather lower/cancel my expectations for a tour since there is no clear indication it will happen at all. From all we know, the LIVE section on the website could have been a page documenting their past tours in the same way that the Music page does with the albums and videos. I think that's it... I will believe about a tour when we have concrete news. Every now and then we have rumours of tours (think it was last year we had a rumour about a stadium in south east asia for instance), and appearances at festivals like Glastonbury. Couple of weeks ago, someone mentioned there being a tour and TWO festival appereances in 2023. So far, we have no indication other than a random post on Spice Circle, about this at all. Rumours of Glastonbury have only come from Mel C herself that she would love to do it, but the latest updates indicate an all-male line up and no Spices at all. During 2019 there were loads of rumours about dates in Australia, USA, etc, being announced, yet they were all shelved shelved after the last day of teh Wembley shows, because the girls pulled the plug (as far as we know). Im bored of this back and forth between what might happen and what might not. There is always dissapointment coming our way in this way, so I would rather back out.
November 9, 20222 yr The website is also now being run by Universal and 'Motive Unkown' who oversee campaigns as well as lots of other things for artists. They had a hand in Robbie's latest album and campaign. I'm confident they had nothing to do with the SW25 campaign as they have nothing about it on their insta like they have of Robbie but list the Spice Girls on their website.
