southstar being shunted down by the influx of new entries -_- hopefully back in the top 40 tomorrow.

 

That's quite a big improvement on the day 1 positions from Lil Baby's last album (he did have a lot of top 200 entries from that too but none made the top 50). He won't beat The 1975 or RHCP but maybe coming for a #3 debut? Meanwhile to the shock of no one it holds 23 of the top 24 on US Apple Music.

 

This does seem like a fairly muted debut for Stormzy after how well 'Mel Made Me Do It' did, hmm. At least he did just about get the highest new entry ahead of Central Cee lol ~

 

blink-182 seem to be doing more of a My Chemical Romance than a Paramore, interested to see if they'll be able to scrape the top 40 like MCR did!

He’s got no support on Apple, he didn’t get added to any playlists yesterday surprisingly so probably why he’s stalling there

Is that the first time one of these sped up (/slowed down) versions has actually made the top 200? Great to see anyway, should definitely help southstar to make the top 40 this week! (I find it hard to imagine that would sound particularly good though, it's quite a fast song as it is lol)

 

Stormzy at least holding up pretty well despite the underwhelming debut.

I hope southstar goes to court to be honest!

 

And R1 will have to play two almost identical songs at this point.

The whole thing still leaves such a bad taste, I wish Spotify would turf Schulz off Hot Hits and add Southstar instead. The song deserves success, the Schulz version does not.

The sped-up version helping to push southstar into hit territory *.* Be funny if they were top ten at the same time, like Star To Fall/Falling Stars were for a week in 2005.

Funnily now that I've heard the speed up version of a few times, the other versions sounds too slow :D

I hate sped-up versions but I'm up for anything helping justice to prevail.

 

Down with Schulz's shady team of ghost producers and the dreadful vocal on that version.

It's such a similar scenario, it's bizarre. Similarly, I never enjoyed the Sunset Strippers take on that but bought the Cabin Crew single.

Same, the Sunset Strippers version seemed so weak and paper-thin production-wise compared to the Cabin Crew version.
