October 21, 20223 yr 36 Top 100 hits (well I guess 37 with the 3rd track) since the start of 2018 :o Wow, can only see an artist like Central Cee can do better.
October 21, 20223 yr I just noticed Ferrari is also out of the top 40 today. Edited October 21, 20223 yr by IdentFan101
October 21, 20223 yr Author Will they skip Sculz's version then? I doubt it, it's not one or the other! Schulz's version has the better production for sure but this has a faaaar more tolerable vocal...!
October 21, 20223 yr This version is like 1000 times better than the other one which sound like a naff Cascada copy! This one so deserves the success!
October 21, 20223 yr This isn't quite as bad as Robin Schulz' version - the production sounds crisper and the vocal isn't AS grating imo.
October 21, 20223 yr Author This version is like 1000 times better than the other one which sound like a naff Cascada copy! This one so deserves the success! I mean they're more or less identical to my ears
October 21, 20223 yr yay they didn't skip LIL BABY. I have no more grudges on the chart for melodic rap :) Can you please stop with this "melodic rap" hoofwänkery already? Edited October 21, 20223 yr by Jessie Where
October 21, 20223 yr I doubt it, it's not one or the other! Schulz's version has the better production for sure but this has a faaaar more tolerable vocal...! Yeah, southstar probably pitched his vocal to this key (A Major) but Oliver's original Jerk was in a different key (A Minor)
October 21, 20223 yr Hurrah they're playing it! I prefer this to the "Robin Schulz" version regardless of the copycatting - although I think the "Sped Up" version of this one (Southstar) is my preference of them all.
October 21, 20223 yr yes, glad this is pretty high today and that R1 call it the original and the other one a cover ;)
October 21, 20223 yr As much as I want to support the southstar version more, I do find the Schulz version is a little more enjoyable of a listen.
October 21, 20223 yr Author 22 | 15 | 3rd week Ed Sheeran Celestial Soundtrack single from Pokémon Scarlet and Violet Also features on = Released: 29th September 2022 Label: Asylum Records UK Chart Statistics NE (13/10/2022) | 6-15-22 Sales: 30k+ Certification: - Status: Standard Chart Ratio 01 Sales 31 Audio Streaming 22 Video Streaming Video 23g5HBOg3Ic Biography There’s a lovely moment a little ways into Apple Music’s Songwriter documentary about Ed Sheeran in which Sheeran, jet-lagged and carrying a cup of tea, straggles out into a yard in Malibu at dawn, sits down at his laptop and begins writing a song about the moment right in front of him: the crisp air, the birdsong, the hot tea, the day ahead. He gets a full verse in, melody and all, then pauses. “Songs are weird things,” he says. “How so?” an interviewer asks. “They just come and go,” Sheeran says, smiling. “And they never give you any warning.” For Sheeran, they seem to come pretty reliably. Born in 1991 in Halifax, England, he started out gigging on the UK pub circuit before releasing his first studio album, +, in 2011, and has since become one of the most unstoppable singer-songwriters in music, forging a light blend of folk, pop, hip-hop and dance that feels slick but lived-in, intimate but universal. Whether on his own (“Sing”, “The A Team”, “Shape of You”, “Perfect”) or in collaboration with artists from Taylor Swift to Eminem to Justin Bieber, Sheeran has a unique ability to strike a chord that feels both bittersweet and redemptive, good-natured and genuine: the hopeless romantic who convinces you he might just be right. In 2017, he was made a Member of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire, touching Prince Charles on the arm while shaking his hand—a breach of royal protocol, and an appealingly human one at that. - Apple Music Top 100 Chart History 2011 03 The A Team -1- MILLION SELLER 2011 35 Hush Little Baby (Wretch 32 feat. October 21, 20223 yr I know it's only a Pokemon tie in with minimal promotion but its ironic that the best song Ed Sheeran has put out for ages is one to flop. (Yeah i'm calling a top 10 hit a flop but we all know it only got there on physicals)
