> Starting the top 5 is another song from miss Scott-Lee! The scores between #6 and #4 are very close so this one could’ve easily been a place higher. Released on 8 September 2003 this was the second release from Lisa. After her debut reached a very respectable #6 it was time to prove she could stick around as a solo artist. Sadly it just missed the top 10 as it charted at #11 in the end. The same position was reached in Scotland and it just made the Irish chart at #41. Do we think things could’ve been different if this song reached top 10? At least it’s enjoyed by us with a very nice average score! <

The countdown is missing the buzz of big big songs that fans really stan, the solo material pales in comparison to any of the steps material but the countdown is a great way to revisit and remind ourselves of the work outside steps.

> Taking the bronze in this countdown, and just missing out on the silver, is Claire’s debut single ‘On my own’. Released on August 6 2018 it got to #53 on the download chart. Not a hit but I don’t think she was aiming for that. Claire got to do her own thing and the album reached top 10. The only member of Steps to achieve this. Mission accomplished I’d say! And..the song itself got a very high average score here. I do wonder if she’ll release another album in the future. What do you think? <
