To me this is very clear evidence that despite popular belief, it is not just the same Christmas songs in the same order every year, and this year is looking different once again. I personally find it quite interesting to see the changing in popularity in the songs between years

Overall Xmas songs are pretty significant up on last year, Wham and Mariah by about 350k each for the week. Still way down on 2020 though, I'd forgotten just how massive Christmas songs were in 2020 (Mariah was already top 5 on the weekly charts with almost 2 million streams).

Not the Stormzy takeover I expected!

 

Wonder what our next no1 will be - Megan, Raye, 3 Lions, Mariah, Wham?

Is he releasing an Xmas song or a normal pre album single? If so he might get a week like the first release if he releases physicals as no1 sales are low currently but again we have to hear the song yet!

I’d expect Lewis to get it next week

He’s done a lot of promo especially on his instagram, he said once 5,000 people pre save the song he’ll release a clip of it

Raye getting a number 1 would be amazing l, can’t see it though
and the Lewis Pointless song is the song written with Ed Sheeran

Very subdued album bomb by Stormzy, lots of tracks top 200 but pretty low

Oh wow, that’s not great for Stormzy at all.

 

Last time his album was pretty much all in the Top 50, and that was with more Christmas tracks around on December 13th.
