You’d think Ed would know to wait a while before the next album due to the over load in the last year.

Maybe he will return to the collabs style material in between.

I believe it’s called ‘Subtract’ and will be out early next year going by various interviews. It will be mainly acoustic in a similar vain to ‘Afterglow’ which was originally intended for this album. This was also supposed to be released before ‘Equals’ but he switched them around.

If this is true then I wouldn't rule out the lead single being released in time for a Brits performance

This is the album he did with Aaron Dressner (Folklore) as producer
This is going to be a controversial opinion, but I think Ed Sheeran's albums are terrible, all of them. And yet I love a lot of his singles. But if Ed has worked with the same producer that worked with Taylor Swift's "Folklore" then this new album could be incredible.

March 24th appears to be a key date, as does 5th, 9th and 12th May according to a notebook he's sent to some fans. I'd imagine the first 3 dates are single/grat dates with the last being the album?
I’m sure Ed said somewhere that this was delayed for some reason as it was supposed to be out before he started his tour in Australia. Part of me thinks he was waiting for ‘Flowers’ to die down a bit to try and get a number 1 with the first single. Looking forward to hearing new music though.
Album out 5th May, seems to be an acoustic style album
Lewis Capaldi might need to postpone his album as I don’t think he’ll do enough to knock Ed off the top as I can definitely see him having the first two weeks at #1
My birthday *.* Cheating poor Freya Ridings out of a potential No.1 album though.
Cue other artists moving their albums for sketchy reasons.

I think Lewis will do it.

I can't see a dark acoustic album being as easy a sell as his pop albums at all.

I'm sure it will open well on like 80-90k but probably down to about 25-30k on its second week, depending on the material, which Lewis will easily surpass.

Is the date confirmed? The rollout is very short
