Following on from 2021's fantastic 'Drunk Tank Pink', South London post-punk group shame are back with third album 'Food for Worms' in February! Lead single 'Fingers of Steel' came out the other day :))

 

Another single called 'Six-Pack' came out last week - I didn't connect that much with the singles from their last album surprisingly considering I love most other bands in this scene but I've enjoyed these two a lot more, this one is my fave to date from them I think!

 

Ahh I’m loving ‘Fingers of Steel’ at the moment but unfortunately the new one hasn’t quite clicked with me!

 

I think my top 5 from them would be:

 

1. Water in the Well

2. One Rizla

3. Fingers of Steel

4. Snow Day

5. Nigel Hitter

 

And a shout-out to ‘Feliz Navidad’ too x

'Snow Day' was the one I enjoyed the most off the last album IIRC but I didn't end up putting any of them on my playlist.

 

(of course I was also a fan of Charlie Steen's collab with Lynks that you sent to BJSC though)

Very fitting as she seems to be everywhere currently, Phoebe Bridgers has backing vocals on one of the album tracks! :lol:

The gorgeous 'Adderall' is out today as the final single before the album's release.
