Bloody Mary US Units (estimate): 937k

Platinum in two weeks.

I wonder if they'll certify Hold My Hand and Bloody Mary platinum at the same time (if HMH hasn't reached the mark already???), Interscope normally certifies her catalogue in bunches/a few at once.

Billboard Radio Songs:

#29. Bloody Mary (+10) *new peak*

Outpeaks Judas #31, HMH #33, MTN #34.

Bet she is kicking herself over those DODGY single choices from BTW now!!! If Bloody Mary can do this today, imagine ScheiBe as diest/second single!!

1. Edge of Glory

2. ScheiBe (or reversed)

3. Born This Way

4. Hair

4 no.1s, job's a good un, release whatever she wants as 54h and 6th singles.

I don't think 'Born This Way' could have been anything but the first single, it just wouldn't have worked further along into the campaign.

I'd have liked to see how 'The Edge of Glory' would have done first, at the time it felt a bit like BTW had diminished a fair chunk of her credibility.

Singles run: Born This Way > Marry The Night > The Edge of Glory (perfect single to coincide with the album release) > and THEN go more out-there with the other choices!

It did damage her credibility, as she had promised the best akbum ever, with a new concept of pop music - peak young pretentiousness oops - and then deliverrd a copy of Express Yourself eith cheesy lyrics!

It would have been fine as a third single. Ir didn't NEED to be first.

It's 2023, not 2011, wake up.

BTW would only work as the lead single.

MTN shouldn't have been a single, too noisy and it only derailed the album's string of top 10 hits.

TEOG was a huge hit with that strategy, I don't think it would've peaked any higher considering it was against Rolling In the Deep and Party Rock Anthem among others.

The album was clearly made for the fans! And for many of them it gave them exactly what they wanted- a voice and inner strength! Changed my life, my favourite album from her
