From a business perspective it's absolutely short sighted of the label to not put out an official sped-up version when the demand is overwhelmingly there for it. Its existence would enable Bloody Mary to reach greater heights and in turn it would bring more attention to the album version, considering that's still the version that would be played on the radio. But the sped-up version would cater to a very wide audience right now. As Adelita says, they're turning to unofficial versions anyway. It seems like there's well over 50 million views of sped-up versions on YouTube. The views for sped-up versions on TikTok must be astronomical!

 

The existence of an official sped-up version does not negate the original album version's existence - they could work together in harmony for the song's overall success. It would essentially be like a remix. Give the people what they want :cool:

 

Agree with this 100% Bobby/Interscope should strike while the iron is still hot and release a sped up version to Spotify (get rid of all the copies on Spotify), add a simple lyric video to her Youtube channel and send it to more European radios for playlisting including the UK. These small steps wouldn't require Gaga to do remotely anything that would take time or effort away from the Joker. No one's expecting a music video, Bobby/Interscope are so slow sometimes.

Doesn't seem to be in top 20 in the Sunday mids in the UK so I don't think it can climb officially...

Yup.

Sunday mids are missing 1 day of Spotify, Apple and YouTube, which are always missing from any midweek update. It just shows more when the Sunday update only has Friday + Saturday sales so it's basically missing 50% of the streaming data. That one day of streams (or 2 days for Amazon Music) is still enough to overcome much of iTunes' impact though!
