Posted December 16, 20222 yr Since this song usually gets so much shit on these forums I wanted to post a thread where we can just sit and adore this amazing song. Seriously, in all its cheesy glory it makes me sniffle and makes me want to wave my hands in the air; a Spice Girls show wouldn't be the same without it. Haters to the left off a cliff.
December 16, 20222 yr listen, it isn't my favourite song, at all, but I do think it does kind of goes off live, for sure. I still don't need it to ever be in another set list, by any of them. Ever. Like, it will be for sure, but personally I would much rather have other much better songs in there...
December 16, 20222 yr It might be cheesy to some, but production wise it’s a great song - the melody, choir, lyrics and the girls voices. An underrated single which may not be loved by all but a lovely sentiment.

December 16, 20222 yr I like the live versions. The wembley version with the extended ending is the best. It went well with the introduction of Viva Forever. The chorus is my favorite part on the album version. I remember in 1996 standing in front of my house and seeing a woman in a parked car listening to Mama at top volume..lol
December 16, 20222 yr Probably the one song of theirs that live just absolutely comes to life. Mel B also sounds like heaven on it with her lower tone. I've always loved Mama more than most others.
December 17, 20222 yr The music to the song is just incredible I have always loved it! The lyrics are a bit to cheesy for me but the structure of the song is great and I agree with Sammy Mel B's lower tone voice is just gorgeous!
