We finally get the MKS era 🥹 I’m so happy What a wonderful Xmas gift I mean, it's obviously a "dump" in the sense that they're trying to draw a line in the sand between this and any new material they record. Great for us fans though - I hope we get physical editions down the line.

It's obviously a reference to these being meant for release in 2013/14. It's not being released as a "current" album they'll be doing the usual promo rounds for, but I guess more like Dannii's 1995 Sessions / Unleashed / Club Disco (cue people arguing if this is a compilation or studio album).

It’s a metaphor innit. We’ve waited 9 years for them to release this album, it got „lost“ to legal battles and time. It’s the perfect way to draw a close to 2022 and the MKS era after a decade. Now we can focus on what’s next

I Lay Down is a ballad, the Lay Down In Swimming Pools was a mash up they did at the end of the Dev Hynes sessions with ILD for fun. It’s a great track but the Swimming Pools version is probably a little better. It’s a shame that it came out before I Lay Down as it probably overshadows it a bit

December 23, 20222 yr Wow, how exciting! Brilliant that they're actually giving these a proper release for fans to enjoy. I've not heard any songs other than Flatline (obv) and the couple they performed on the tour so I'm really hyped for this!! I guess it's probably not their 8th studio album as such and more a compilation album a la Justin Bieber's Journals? Nevertheless, I can't wait to hear a new body of work from them!!

December 23, 20222 yr Oh wow!! I am shook, what a nice thing for the die hard MKS fans who have been waiting so long. I cannot wait to discover new songs that I haven't heard before. Physicals would be amazing, January is usually low sales too.
