January 15, 20232 yr Author Hey Lunar :hi: catching up on your EOY so far! Fab to see Ariana making it in your favourite artists section  unfortunately things are a bit quiet with her at the moment but I look forward to her Wicked movie projects. My favourite album picks are: Dawn FM, RENAISSANCE, Hold The Girl + Midnights! This dark, synth sound suits The Weeknd so well. I'm interested to see if he'll continue in that direction next album or switch it up a bit. I was so excited for RENAISSANCE off the back of 'BREAK MY SOUL' and it did not disappoint <3 now all we need is visuals. I was obsessed with Rina's SAWAYAMA album and was a bit nervous for this follow up, after not loving all of the pre-album singles as much as I wanted to, but definitely found some gems on the album in the end. Then of course Taylor has had such an incredible year! 'Anti-Hero' is already an all-time favourite of hers for me and there's plenty of other good stuff on the album, that definitely extends to the 3am Edition I agree. My favourites from your song countdown so far: 95: George Ezra - Anyone for You 92: The Weeknd - How Do I Make You Love Me? 84: Lil Nas X - STAR WALKIN’ 73: The Weeknd - Sacrifice 71: Rina Sawayama - Catch Me In The Air 63: The Weeknd - Gasoline 55: The Weeknd - Out Of Time 48: Rina Sawayama - This Hell Those are such good Dawn FM picks so far  intrigued to see if 'Less Than Zero' will make an appearance. 'STAR WALKIN' deserved more for Lil Nas X in the chart! I'm glad it made the top 40 at least but still. Loved the marrying of drill verses with a catchy pop chorus. Those two Rina songs I highlighted above are probably my favourites of the pre-album singles, so nice picks. The video for 'This Hell' helped it click a bit more for me - she's a star! Speaking of growers... that was also the case for 'Anyone For You'! A solid return from George in the end. Hi Jade! thank you so much for the big catch up <3 Great album picks! I was quite late to “RENAISSANCE” but obsessed with it as soon as i did listen - hopefully the visuals aren’t too far away! “Hold The Girl” definitely had a lot to live up to for me too but it didn’t disappoint. more songs from that to come too. It has been amazing to see the success Midnights and especially ‘Anti-Hero’ - she really couldn’t have picked a better lead imo! Also glad you’re enjoying the Dawn FM picks. “Less Than Zero” is my highlight from the album so it’s still to come :cheer: Love “STAR WALKIN" for the same reasons you described - agreed that it deserved better in the charts! “Anyone for You” is a great carefree bop, too  I'm Good is one of the best tracks of the year for sure, love at first listen! Keep Driving isn't my favourite on Harry's house but I really do love the last minute of it where the production goes up a gear, no pun intended! Hi Joseph! Loved I’m Good from the start too and it was so good to see Bebe get some charting success. Keep Driving wasn’t a standout for me on first listen but it’s been a massive grower and ended up as one of my favourites. Thank you for commenting!
