I think if Dave releases soon he could challenge Miley for #1, I understood his new era and a lead single are around the corner?

Is it not outside the realms of possibility Miley could release a second single before the album and knock herself off? Given how huge she seems to be right now.

I think her second single will probably come the same week as the album as Flowers will still be peaking on radio especially in the USA! I do think it will still be on around 500,000+ ahead of the release of the album and could even return to #1 once the album release especially with it being track #1!

Pretty Much, he has released loads of new music snippets onto his IG and usually releases a new project every 2 years.

All so raye escapism stuck at 2 hope ksi knock off number 2 spot.

As know by now raye hard cookie knock of number 2 spot to

I never really get people wanting fast movement in the charts, despite the quality of the song/artist or if they even like it or not. The top 5 is great at the moment, I don't need a substandard KSI song to infiltrate just for movement in the charts.
When go into charts late 90s 00s more gone chart now go slow old pink song chart today and new one just come out. Some Song take ages chart, anti-hero need go acr get bit old

A few new entries in the Spotify chart today:

166. SZA - Kill Bill - Sped Up Version

184. Matt Sassari - Give It To Me - Full Vocal Mix

197. Strandz - Us Against the World

So it appears the reason this suddenly took off the other week is not really TikTok virality (I think it was/is somewhat viral there too but that predates the sudden huge spike in streams) but more just that Spotify have apparently made some changes to their auto-play feature and this song is newly being heavily favoured in their algorithm which may or may not be due to payola (the latest Billboard Breakdown video claimed it is but I can't find a source that confirms that, just people speculating). That would explain why its sudden massive rise has been a Spotify exclusive phenomenon with it still not even entering the top 100 on Apple Music.

Also seen a suggestion that this may explain the sudden huge drop in streams for Stephen Sanchez too. It does appear that these two things happened within a couple of days of each other so not implausible. That's a bit of an oof if that much of his daily stream count was coming from auto-plays alone!

I have auto-play turned off on Spotify but I guess a lot of people don't (and it is on by default, had to dig in the settings to turn it off) ~

Quoting myself from the Sabrina Carpenter thread last night... it looks like the auto-play algorithm / alleged payola giveth and the auto-play algorithm / alleged payola taketh away because 'Nonsense' has collapsed back down to #75 today, a whopping 54 place drop! I guess it has probably done enough to make the top 40 today but maybe don't expect it to be a lasting hit now. (Also dropped 13-50 globally and 13-37 in the US).

I guess we may be starting to see sudden unpredictable huge one day spikes / collapses becoming more common now.

I notice that Popcaan/Drake has dropped 85 places to #133 today too, but that's been having a pretty suspiciously erratic chart run ever since it came out tbh.

Also what a twist of fate now I can't find the new charts  apart from the in-app top 50 playlists, the main 200 isn't updated.

not Sabrina’s label getting exposedT for payola

not a fan of the song anyway so I’m glad it seemingly isn’t going to end up being that big of a hit.

interesting to see Matt Sassari finally somewhat crossing over to UK, the songs been big in Germany for months

and yes it is a dance remake of the Timbaland song

I love the Sabrina song but even then I must admit I found its trajectory odd to say the least!

I mean....it's worked and the majority of the public won't notice/care. Not saying I condone it but it got her on to a notable playlist, Radio 1 noticed her and she will likely get a Top 40 hit from it. I can unfortunately see this happening much more, especially for smaller artists like her and Stephen Sanchez who would benefit from it.
