I just wanted peoples thoughts given we are awaiting the exciting follow up to disco. What are your most exciting comeback eras?

For me, there has been something exciting about the times she has changed record label and released her first new material under a new label.

The release of ‘confide in me’ is probably one of my favourite comeback eras. Mainly due to Kylie having a lengthy absence in between contracts and signing to a brand new label and moving away from her cheesy pop sound to something more credible. Confide in me was a very exciting but somewhat nervous time. I wasn’t sure what to expect or how this would perform.

Another exciting era was when Kylie returned with spinning around. I was actually really glad when she returned to her pop roots after the lukewarm success she experienced at Decon. Spinning around sounded fresh and light years was a great up beat comeback album.

Light Years era for me, I was 6 in 1994 and not really into music at all so I have no memories of Confide In Me. Though by 2000 I was 12 and I can remember the buzz around Spinning Around. So that gets my vote.
Light Years for me too, I remember being 19 and was in university doing some work in the evening and was listening to the radio online and messaging for them to play Spinning Around and they said live on the show something looking “don’t worry Daniel, we will be playing the new Kylie track” because I had messaged so many times 😂

Hahaha, not Kylie but I can remember making numerous requests back in the day around 1998-2000. I don't think any radio station or music video show played them though. :(

Light years for me aswell. I remember the press muting her big pop return long before we heard any actual music and I could feel my excitement building.

Light Years - Kylie

Neon Nights - Dannii

I only really remember the Light Years era unfolding as I was very young and it was about 3 months after I'd started following music and the charts, I wish I'd been able to experience that excitement properly as a long-time fan, it must have been unreal.
Fever era was the most exciting - the only time since her debut while Kylie was genuinely the biggest pop star around

It really was a very special time and unreal, i will forever remember waiting to hear the first midweeks when spinning around was released and been so happy it was midweeks number 1 and doing well as it was such a massive turnaround and thankfully the press were all over it and really were behind Kylie. I was slightly disappointed Light Years didnt go Number 1 as id have loved it to have done so, likewise Kids i was sure would go to number 1 and was disappointed it didnt. But throughout the whole era Kylie was just building and builing her presence and you just knew her career was so back on track and there was that little of oh i wonder what will come next, light years was the perfect return for kylie and equally the perfect build up to what was going to come with Fever.
