Greetings! :P So instead of just listing the top 50 singles this week I thought I'd do some kind of countdown to round off the year. Now this is obviously a busy time of year so bear with me with this - I aim to have it done by Friday though *crosses fingers*

So before I count down the top 40 songs as chosen by BuzzJack members, here are the 10 that narrowly missed the countdown:

50. Paris Hilton - Nothing In This World

49. Sandi Thom - Lonely Girl

48. Embrace - I Can't Come Down

47. Damien Rice - 9 Crimes

46. Nelly Furtado - Say It Right

45. Robbie Williams - Lovelight

44. Fergie - Fergalicious

43. Ricky Tomlinson - Christmas My Arse

42. Matt Willis - Don't Let It Go To Waste

41. Cassie - Long Way To Go

Right, on with the countdown - I just want to take this opportunity to thank everyone for posting a personal chart this year, and wish you all a very merry Christmas and a happy New Year

Mary J. Blige - MJB Da MVP.

Our first song is a new entry to the multichart and comes from the undisputed Queen of contemporary soul music and three-time Grammy winner, Miss Mary J. Blige. Her brand new single 'MJB Da MVP' is taken from her album 'Reflections – A Retrospective' (greatest hits collection) and is a stunning mini-autobiographical look back on Mary's glorious career to date.

Bodyrox feat. Luciana - Yeah Yeah

Going up one place from number 40 this week are Bodyrox and Luciana with the infectious, Yeah Yeah. With the help of D. Ramirez, 'Yeah Yeah' has become THE anthem of 2006 in Ibiza. The new vocal features the stunning Luciana who gives the track its uniqueness with her sexy, feisty punk voice.

Eric Prydz VS. Floyd

Going down 7 places this week is Eric Prydz's Proper Education, the follow up the club hit, Call On Me (yes, that one with the half naked women in the video...). This is the first time a Pink Floyd record has ever officially been cleared. Lacing David Gilmour’s caliginous vocals with an immense electro bassline, Prydz builds on the epic nature of the original, moulding it into a bouncy slice of crossover brilliance. Sadly though, Mr. Prydz is not setting the multichart alight and falls to a weary 38 this week.

Avril Lavigne - Keep Holding On

Yes it's the one we've all been waiting for - Avril's comeback! This song taken from the hit film Eragon is Avril's first time in the BuzzJack Multichart, and unfortunately the song only just made top 20. Whether or not it will climb in the new year remains to be seen....

RE-ENTRY

Snow Patrol - Chasing Cars

A former Buzzjack number 1 and all round amazing tune, Chasing Cars returns to the chart this week having dropped out of the top 50 last week. 'Chasing Cars' was the second single to be taken from Snow Patrol's platinum album 'Eyes Open', and proved to be even more successful than it's predecessor, 'You're All I Have'.

Snow Patrol feat. Martha Wainwright- Set The Fire To The Third Bar

The follow up single to Chasing Cars, this heartwarming ballad made the top 15 back in November. This was very much a fan favourite and became a number 1 single on several personal charts.

JoJo - Too Little Too Late

Going down one place to 34 this week is that loveable American, JoJo with the remarkable Too Little Too Late. Emotionally overwrought and utterly addictive, 'Too Little Too Late' is the lead single off 'The High Road', Jo Jo's brand new album. Featuring production and songs by such in demand hit-makers as Swizz Beats, Soulshock and Scott Storch — the man who made Paris Hilton sound good — it should come as little surprise that 'The High Road' is a commercially oriented, radio-friendly contemporary pop-R&B album.

Amy Winehouse - Rehab

Climbing back into the top 40 this week is the infectious Rehab, the first single taken from Amy Winehouse's new album, Back To Black. Again teaming up with Producer Salaam Remi, 'Rehab' is a stunning gospel spiritual opener, which deals with the subject of drying out and wonderfully showcases Amy's refined song writing approach and fearlessness as a lyricist.

Slade - Merry Christmas Everybody

It's Christmas!!! So that means weeks of being subjected to Christmas songs in stores, at work and even on the telly. This one is a repeat offender being played over and over on the Hits. Still some people can't get enough of it and so here it is, at number 32 - it's Slade.

Chasing Cars is my favourite track of the year, as well.

Dundonian 4 piece, The View's third single 'Same Jeans', once again produced by Owen Morris (producer of the Verve's seminal 'Northern Soul' and Oasis' debut 'Definitely Maybe'), climbs this week and is taken from their debut album 'Hats Off To The Buskers', which is due for release in late January.
