May 31, 20232 yr 8k seems like a lot to chart at #187, it doesn’t even take 30k to go top 10 sometimes. The albums chart is very odd
May 31, 20232 yr Yup with 8k sold. That it didn't have any proper singles didn't help. What makes its singles not 'proper'?
May 31, 20232 yr What makes its singles not 'proper'? No music videos for one. I think “visualiser” is just code for “we don’t have the budget for/can’t be bothered doing a real video” lol
May 31, 20232 yr No music videos for one. I think “visualiser” is just code for “we don’t have the budget for/can’t be bothered doing a real video” lol No remixes to my knowledge either and I'm not even sure they went for a radio add date. It's clear that her record label literally gave no crap about this project.
June 2, 20232 yr Author No remixes to my knowledge either and I'm not even sure they went for a radio add date. It's clear that her record label literally gave no crap about this project. Kesha herself said that when creating the album they didn't think about "singles" or anything. It was a complete album they wanted to create without the pressure of a hit or radio plays etc. Meanwhile, this has angered and upset me so much: @1664380742661730305 The blatant mocking of someone's art by this Lourdiz person(?)... not cute at all. Kim too, ugh I can't abide her.
June 2, 20232 yr Kesha herself said that when creating the album they didn't think about "singles" or anything. It was a complete album they wanted to create without the pressure of a hit or radio plays etc. I know that, but it still doesn't mean that the label can't fund proper videos, remixes and push them for adds on radio etc. It's obvious they didn't give a crap about this release as it's her last one with them.
June 16, 20232 yr The music isn't particularly mainstream (and it's all the better for it). Perhaps the label did send it to radio or streaming playlists but they didn't support it? Although some proper visuals would have been nice
June 16, 20232 yr Isn't this her last album under her contract with Dr. Luke's label or something? I can see why the label might not want to draw attention to it in that case given the subject matter lol (if anything it's a little surprising they didn't pull some BS to block her from releasing it at all)
May 20May 20 Author The album has officially been renamed to Eat The Acid + artwork changed and Kesha has explained the creative process behind that decision:
