This is gonna be the "injection" many have wanted for the MCU since 'Endgame' I think. It's going to set up Kang as the big bad for this phase and ofc, setting him up for 'Avengers: Kang Dynasty' right before 'Secret Wars'.

I'm really excited for this! I think it's going to do a sterling job at setting Kang up and I just know Jonathan Majors is gonna absolutely SMASH IT in his role. I'm really excited to see Kathryn Newton as Cassie! I love her  I think we're in for a couple of deaths too. They're gonna set Kang up as a bigger threat than Thanos and have him kill some essential people

wouldn't surprise me if Ant-Man himself dies or The Wasp (I do think both Michael Douglas and Michelle Pfeiffer are dying too)

EXCITED. Booked in for the first evening show on the Friday of release. :D

I'm actually really excited for this and I hope it doesn't disappoint; the last two Ant-Man films are right near the bottom of my MCU rankings so fingers crossed this will be better.

I've also booked for opening night :D

SFX overload. They fight they fight they fight fight fight fight.

Wanted to love it but i didnt. Flawed hyper script with not really too much character scenes and development. Its basically setting up Loki and the next Avengers movies and that is its main function. I sldo hate plots where the

cavalry ride to the rescue

even if its

ants

for antman.

The cast were fine though esp Michelle Pfeiffer and Jonathan Majors and Paul Rudd is ever-endearing. They made the script seem better than it was. 5/10

I so wanted to like this but agree with everything above. I thought Jonathan Majors was fine but it irritated me that

he is meant to be our next Thanos style villain and yet he was beaten so easily

. My main issue with the Ant-Man films is that I just don't really care for any of the main characters so it's really hard for me to root for them.

I actually wanted one of them to die in this, just to make the Kang character seem more formidable.

Also can't believe how badly they treated the character of MODOK! That whole bit at the end with him and Cassie talking was just laughable, and not in a good way

.

Finally, whoever was responsible for Hope's hair in this film needs to be fired quite frankly.

I had a blast with this, idc. Just a lot of fun, something the last couple of MCU movies (as much as I liked them - I rated them HIGHER on my Letterboxd) were missing. I had a good time and I really think people are being overly harsh on this tbh.

3.5 on Letterboxd. I just miss movies like this where they're just popcorn, fun. Movies are too serious/world building nowadays and I think this is what I love the most about the Ant-Man movies tbh.

Yes,

that whole ending was just silly. I'm sorry, but murderous villains who are trying to gleefully kill you and everyone else don't have a sudden change of heart cos a young adult says stop being a dick. In a sub-micro-universe with bizarre creatures, giant ants and a wannabe-tyrant trying to end the multiverse, I found that the most unrealistic moment
