I thought Gnarls Barkely did better than that :o

How come Shaggy is listed twice with the same song?

Huge sales in different weeks.

:yahoo: Great to see Will sitting at the top of the pile & there again at #6.

Strange to see it listed as AIP instead of Evergreen.

However those figures would mean little if he hadn't gone on to carve out such a successful career for himself.

Well done Will, Here's to the next 5 years.

I wasn't aware Fragma had sold so much in a week!

Yep Toca's Miracle was a hugely anticipated release and one of only a few songs that spent longer than a week at No.1 in 2000

Interesting, thanks for sharing, especially Take That :o

Leona #4. Really good, but I'm still disappointed with her sales. I'll predict end-of year sales as being around the 700k-ish mark.

Leona top selling female on the list!

No sign of michelle mcmanus there

It would be interesting to work out how many of those made it big in other countries.
  • 1 year later...
*Bump* The X Factor Finalists could be making a sizeable splash here also Leona Bleeding Love and Leon Jackson can be added. :)

I've done my bit, not sure if the albums need revising, I leave that to Fiesta
I'm thinking only Leona and Coldplay for this year would penetrate that album list?

Albums 225k and up in 2007 and 2008:

2007

29 April Favourite Worst Nightmare Arctic Monkeys 227,922

18 November Spirit Leona Lewis 375,872

16 December Spirit Leona Lewis 228,504

23 December Spirit Leona Lewis 286,437

2008

15 June Viva la Vida or Death and All His Friends Coldplay 302,074

Westlife and Kings of Leon just miss out.

There are so few 2007 or 2008 albums in that list :o That says a lot about the decline of album sales in this country. Is it all the illegal downloading?
