I'm seeing them tonight!

It's only the second concert I've ever been to and the other one was also a boyband. :D

EDIT: I enjoyed it! I don't blame them for not singing much from 2.0 as there wasn't much in the way of highlights for me. The audience loved Eternal Love though.

Great to hear you had a good night!

I’ve got my show tonight and my meet and greet! So excited!

Omg it was amazing, I was so insanely close, infront of the catwalk!

The meet and greet was amazing too, they were SO nice.

They were insanely nice, Aston kept saying my name was like a superstar name (my name is quite unique). They were all telling me my name was ‘sick’, giving me loads of compliments on how I dressed and looked ‘fresh’. As I was leaving them all of them started chanting/singing my name to me 😭😭 - what a moment! Such a great experience and they put on a very entertaining show!

How lovely so glad you had a great time! I want to know your name now 😂

Westlife played Wembley Stadium last year, I wonder what are the chances of them putting on a big gig like that. Not that they've ever really done the big stadiums anyway, and they're probably a bit further along in their career to do that (although you'd probably think the same about Westlife, even considering the relative scale of both bands).
I can't see JLS being able to sell out such a large venue tbh, especially with how frequently they've toured in the last few years. Perhaps in 5 years from now if they take a few years off, but even then I think it would be a push.

They haven't toured that frequently, this is their first tour since 2021 and I'm pretty sure they didn't perform at all in 2022 or this year prior to the tour.

With 2024, 3 out of 4 years is still quite a lot though.

From what I've heard though from my lovely JLS source, they're aware that the nostalgia isn't going to carry on forever - so I wouldn't be surprised if 2024 is their last year together again for a while.

They've also got families too so I don't expect a tour every year anyway. Their 2024 dates are fewer than what they've got going on currently.
They did 4 nights at The O2 which isn’t far off the capacity of Wembley, so perhaps if they had just done Wembley as a one off comeback gig it could’ve sold out, but they definitely couldn’t sell it out currently

I think they'll probably follow the Steps model and reconvene every few years or so when it's time for a milestone anniversary.

I went to the first Cardiff show on Monday and met them. Was really hoping they would be lovely and they were. Turns out Marvin knew who I was as well as he's read my blog! The Q&A session we had was good fun as well.

And the show itself was awesome! They've never sounded better and it's their best tour to date for me. The DJLS section where Aston and Marvin DJed whilst JB and Oritsé hyped the crowd was brilliant. Aston also played "I'll Be There For You" in his set as a tribute to Matthew Perry which was a really sweet moment.

I've got the first O2 show next Friday to look forward to now. There was no catwalk at Cardiff so I'm looking forward to seeing the show as fully intended! Also booked for Margate on the summer tour next year.

Also in Manchester last night during the DJLS section, Fleur East and Max George (The Wanted) came out as special guests and sung "Sax" and "Glad You Came":

You can see my sister and niece (just) at the barrier when Max George is singing!

It was such a good show last night!

They've definitely put on a great show and even though I didn't see them live when they were in their prime, they don't seem to have lost what they had then.

Much as it'd be cool to see them get a number one single again or something I know it's probably unlikely.

This show recycled a lot from the 2021 tour though :kink:
I'm glad they kept a lot of the same stuff. I liked the fact they put the key change into 'Proud' (which the single should have had originally) and the slight changes to the arrangement of 'Love You More'.

To be honest, I don’t listen to Proud enough to know it didn’t have one originally. For me it was the arrangement of Beat Again and (separately) the use of the panthers running toward the screen that highlighted it for me.

Still gone and booked Shrewsbury VIP mind you!

If we're being nitpicky, the playback track they use for The Club is Alive is the same as the one they used in 2021. The dance routine they have means they're (understandably) not singing it live.

Tour finishes tonight in Sheffield. They were in London at The O2 on Thursday and last night - I was at the latter show and it was awesome again, it just gets better every time I see it. Also last night was their 20th time performing there! Think that must be a record surely?

Olly Murs was a guest during DJLS on Thursday doing "Heart Skips A Beat" and Tinie Tempah came out last night for "Eyes Wide Shut":
